You may be missing forest focused on a tree. These days anything that shows the physical reality of OT and NT places and events has value. Even in witnessing.
God will NEVER allow Himself to be proven. Doing so would destroy the necessity for "faith" in the unseen.
Of course there's always "Oak Island" for the others.
Why did you go to the extreme of God allowing himself to be proven? Its the nature of reliable history for it to turn out so when it is rediscovered. The two are different things.
Sorry...I do not agree. It would be marginally interesting...but meaningless in terms of the basis of true faith.
Check out the "Expedition: Bible" channel on YouTube. It's really awesome. I would believe even if this stuff didn't exist, but it is really, really cool that it does exist.

What's really funny as I actually have the ark of the covenant in my garage.

I'd show it to people, but no one has asked.

You can't get within 5 miles of this place because it is blocked off by Ethiopian guardians. Also cloaked by wards and finally a band of angels as last defense

The Nazi imagery in the movie alone would get it an R-rating in today's environment.

And yet no one has leaked an image? There may be something there, but without a proper investigation we will never know. I think this is "fake news" at best.
I'm just reporting on what I saw in a show, but from the history channel show I saw, no outsiders are allowed close, and once someone is selected to be the next "high priest", protector of the ark, or whatever they call them, they go into the church and are never allowed outside again. then 2-3 years later a new priest is needed because the other one has died.
According to scripture, there were different areas/rooms of the Tabernacle/Temple. Certain Priests could go into each level.

The High Priest had to perform certain offerings, etc, once a year...which is described in great detail in scripture. This was done in the 'Holy of Holies' room, where only he could go, and only on that day.

If he hadnt prepared as instructed, or follow specific instructions, he would die. The reason being, it was a Holy Place, and where the Lord would reside, until the Messiah came. They'd tie a rope to his ankle, in case he had to be drug out. But the History channel apparently didnt read scripture.

And that's why Jews will not go onto the Temple Mount because they don't know where the Holy of Holies was kept and don't want to accidentally walk in that area.

So, wait, the Last Crusade came out in 1989 and was based on leaked intelligence about actually finding it?

My favorite CIA "remote viewing" episode is a remote view of ancient Mars that frequently pops up on the internet:

https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/docs/cia-rdp96-00788r001900760001-9.pdf

The report is from 1984, and contains descriptions of entire scenes from the 1976 David Bowie movie, "The Man Who Fell to Earth." It contains other descriptions too, but coincidentally includes the premise of a movie released 8 years prior.

Coincidentally, found the same year that a former CIA Director was elected President of the United States. Shortly thereafter, that same President did smiteth the King of Babylon but did not kill him. That President's son became President and smote the King of Babylon again and the King was dethronedand hanged.

To wit, all of this clearly points to the conclusion that the current location of the Ark is somewhere on the grounds of the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library. Or SMU. It might be at SMU.

Interesting. On Archeological grounds, they have nothing to fear by the Wailing Wall. Its only when you go somewhere above and to some sideways direction might cross the place (the wall is remnants of the flank foundation wall. The critical part of Temple would not have been overhead it. Now the Mosque...don't know....

Which doesnt really make sense, given the fact the tabernacle moved continually, and there were multiple Temples/sites destroyed and rebuilt...and no one has died walking into the previous areas before.

But better safe than sorry, i guess

Forget the JFK files... RELEASE THE ARK FILES

Are they hiding Noah's ark to ? Release the Ark and all its animals- NO redactions.
There was a fascinating -- and to a junior high kid at the time - somewhat persuasive flurry of "Noah Ark" reported discoveries and even photographs in the mid 1970's and about how the Turkish rule of Ararat made all that being followed up impossible. Nimoy series "In Search of" had a good one on it.

Yet even then, the `photos' given seemed to not really fit what such might be --- and it was clear that they were models. Or objects in the snow. What seemed to somewhat push it all further away - and especially now - was the periods of great easy access or even flyovers etc still not adding to this meager record. Satellites now captured a beached barge in a bay in obscure countries -- and yet nothing here.

Anyway, kind of brings back fun memories. And for all that, it has no impact on whether the Flood is believed or not. The lack of something on Ararat is no disproof.
I remember seeing a lot of that. I recall one that showed some grainy footage taken from perhaps a B-24 bomber flying very near a mountain (Ararat?) and seeing a long wooden object partially buried in the snow. 8 year old me desperately wanted to believe that was Noah's Ark, but now I would question if the Allied air forces ever operated bombers in that region.

Several years later when Raiders of the Lost Ark came out, I actually thought the titular Ark would be Noah's. As it turns out, I was what Indiana Jones meant when he asked the "top men" guy, didn't you guys ever go to Sunday school? I had divorced parents (mom Lutheran, dad Baptist), but only dad took me to church whenever I was at his place. I don't honestly remember ever hearing of the Ark of the Covenant until the movie came along.

That's funny. When I first heard the Title, even though I did know of both, there did comes a moment's quirky thought wondering -- `Was this going to be about sneaking into Turkey and bringing back parts of it or proof?" LOL.

Almost immediately though, advance art made clear where the movie was going. Back then the first little bits you could get from such as `Starlog' could be very meager but also early.

One modest limiting note that should be borne in mind, for any of the 79 AD record and book recovery attempts. Some of the kind of `finds' people are hoping to find, or lost books, are gaps from later in the record. Where they will be nothing short of spectacular, is if you recover volumes and collections not even known to have existed but covering the subjects of the Classical World backing up in reverse from Julio Claudian age to earlier. Roman Republic and early Empire items especially. Perhaps all kinds of things of value from Greece and Alexandria archives too.

New Testament scholars can really hope for some important bits, but for example, the Gospel of John hasn't even been contemplated yet in 79.

However, some of the things people may be thinking of, like complete collections of Dio Cassius, Tacitus, etc, these are being written at that time or far later. They would not have been extant in 79 AD. In short, its not going to answers questions after Emperor Nerva's time.
