i mean ramps and disabled parking and anything accessibility related are dei initiatives so the quoted poster isnt really incorrect
So we're retroactively calling a law from 1990 DEI?

I never said I knew anything other than I'm sure this is how these meetings have gone for a while, which I don't think is much of a stretch. Did not know Sharp was going to retire, but that's good. Hopefully A&M gives me more positive reasons to pay attention to its current events.

Abbott will do nothing about this because he is a DEI hire.
Abbott is a DEI hire?
Or Welsh is a DEI hire?

Abbott was elected so the first one is demonstrably not true. Not sure about Welsh. He's a white guy, so doesn't qualify?

The faculty Senate runs A&M, and they are Marxists to the core.
As they are and have been in most universities. They are like Europeans.

Never seen one if these meetings but looks exactly how I expected it to and am sure it's been like this for 15+ years. Welsh needs to go, he's obviously not on board with where the governor and voters want him to go. Haven't and won't give any money to the university at large until this is fixed, we need a Trump 47 at A&M asap (45 wasn't bloodthirsty enough). ETA Sharp needs to go too. Way too long pulling the levers for that guy.

And how much money were you giving before?

These threats always ring so hollow.

Fair enough, I feel the same way when people say "not another dime".

It's not a threat to stop donating, I'm saying it's an opportunity for them to increase donations. I specifically said I haven't given anything to the university* and won't until they improve. That's the university at large though. I checked today and I currently give $760 a year total to Corps of Cadets Association & related groups and have for a while. Yeah, not a lot, but I actually feel the connection there and I know they appreciate it.

*I did give ~$100 to AFS the year I graduated but that's it

And the sad thing is nothing will happen.

I am in full support of them removing Sharpe and replacing him with Rick Perry. Like him or hate him, he'd fix things.
Wasn't Rick Perry the dumbass who appointed Sharp in the first place?!

AND was behind giving in state tuition to illegals. **** Rick Perry. He is tied to the Bush wing.
