I wouldn't call this "promoting" DEI, though he does have a history of that. Based on his words, he is essentially using his legal counsel to allow him to roll over into the fetal position in front of his communist faculty and administration so they can continue doing what they have always been doing.

Either way, he needs to go. As do all of the communists who have taken over A&M. Start with anthropology, sociology, psychology, and history departments.

The faculty Senate runs A&M, and they are Marxists to the core.

From those comments it is obvious that he's going to comply with state law to the minimalist degree to which he thinks he can get away with, both in terms of the letter of the law and the spirit of the law.

I'm hopeful, but not optimistic, that President Trump's EOs will be more effective at rooting out DEI and its tentacles.

He said that student groups are still allowed (presumably under freedom of speech, my words not his, and even though I am against DEI I would agree here) and that the law states that research can still be conducted that would have been regarded as DEI. That's literally all that video is.
