They used to reject enlistees for having flat feet, dyslexia and all sorts of health defects. Having a blaring mental disorder, like trans, is a huge red flags. We need soldiers, not problems.

And ability to improvise and exist if isolated for a while from the main force. Whether infantry or a ship.

Even dependency on a pill regularly doesn't sound optimal.

We knew it would happen if Trump got elected. That's the only reason it happened. Otherwise, the Army would not have made this change.

I guess if you suspected Trump would win then you suspected right. If you suspected this would happen because logic and common sense would win out regardless of who was in the White House, then we all know that isn't the case.
