IN-n-Out is not moving to TN.

They're just opening an Eastern Territory HQ in TN.

They are moving from Irvine to Baldwin Park.

Irvine is a peculiar city. Bulk of the land used to be owned by the Irvine company and many communities are under 99 year lease. Also, Irvine is near the coast and borders many wonderful Orange County cities including Newport Beach.

Now Baldwin Park is more of a "Blue Collar" city in Los Angeles County.

This move will most likely save In-n-Out a ton of money to not operate out of Irvine. But also a helluva commute from Irvine.

Good for them.

I'm just going to places that are actually good instead of asking them to be good.
So basically no fast food chains. Got it.

Get back to me when they add bacon to their menu. Until then I will go elsewhere.

The Eastern Territory HQ was announced a couple of years ago as they are going to rapidly expand in this part of the world.

The history of how Lynsi Snyder became sole owner at the age of 23 is crazy. Worth reading.

Quote from the Bible.

Leviticus 11.

Quote:

And the pig, though it has a divided hoof, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. 8 You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you.

In-n-Out ingredients are delivered fresh daily. And this is why they don't open new locations unless they have their own distribution nearby. They say they don't even own a freezer.

You know what their fries are made of. Just fresh cut potatoes.

Probably the worst thing served by them is ketchup and softdrinks.

Bacon isn't fresh. It's full of nitrites and nitrates. I'd go easy on it...

She probably served my double double from the Redding CA location.

Yes, she's amazing. And a Republican. Just as conservative Orange County Republican should be.

I remember when their private jet crashed in Tustin killing the owner. I was in the area.

A fresh Bacon Whataburger with cheese and jalapeno is still a superior burger.

However, I've come around on In-n-Out. Mainly because the price is great and also the flying dutchman burger. That goes pretty hard. Especially when low carbing it.

Don't care how fresh the fries are, they are awful. But cool to hear about their pay and values.

My 16 year old has worked for them for the last year. He's paid almost $20/hr and will be able to pay cash on a $20K truck this summer. Even though they work his ass off, he likes the work and the people he works with.

They hold a Christian devotional once per month at the store for employees. Just an all around fantastic company that I've grown to really admire. It's also one of the few companies that promote frontline employees to corporate positions.
Did you accidentally read Chick-fil-A in the title?

This is at in and out?
Yes. In and Out.

Look at the bottom of your cup the next time you're in there. Printed on the bottom is "John 3:16"

https://www.today.com/food/why-does-n-out-print-bible-verses-its-cups-wrappers-t164235

There's a book out there about the story of In and Out and I've heard it's very good. I haven't read it yet.

Yeah the founding family is devout Christian

You can have my bacon when you pry it out of my cold, dead, greasy fingers.

Try the burger without the sauce (spread). It's much better IMOz I hated In N Out for years but have grown to love the burger with no spread.

I live in CA and the drive thrus of the 3 in n outs close to me are packed solid with 25 cars during lunch time and from 6-8 every night.

I like all if the ones I've had so far. Burger King, Freddys, Fuddruckers (RIP), etc. Whataburger is mediocre but still acceptable. In and Out needs to seriously upgrade their fries, though. Weakest fries in the industry.

The one thing I do like about Whataburger is that you don't have to tell them "No mayo, no ketchup, mustard only." They just come that way unless you ask them to ruin your burger.

Double double with grilled onions and sliced chilis. Way less grease than whataburger. Their fries are so-so. I love their shakes.

Also surprisingly affordable all things considered.

Imagine not eating a 4x4. I often get 2 of these because their fries suck so bad.

I live within the In N Out footprint and can't believe they sell anything. Mediocre burgers and the worst fries on earth. They're right where they belong.
For the price, the burgers are good and fries are at least somewhat edible if you add salt/ketchup or get them animal style. I have probably only been there 3-4 times in my life, but that is what I remember. For a good burger my picks are Smashburger, Hopdoddy, and Becks Prime.

Shake Shack is extremely overrated in my opinion. Whataburger is still ok, but is not the same ever since it got sold.

Also special shout out to Five Guys for their cajun fries.

If you are ever in the Midwest, Culvers has a pretty good fast food burger for the price and also has some good fast food fish.

So many people crying about the fries. Order them "well done". It's a common thing.

Because it lacks 19 ingredients mixed into McDonald fries??

Mcdonalds fries when you get them fresh for the first 3 minutes are one of the greatest creations in human food history.

In N Out's fries are bad BECAUSE they use fresh potatoes. A lot of fast food joints, including McDonald's and Whataburger, boil, fry, and freeze. Freezing the fries causes damage to the cells of the potatoes, which when fried before serving create crispy points of crunch.

Not the Food Board but thought I'd share.

Never had In N Out, but I expect their fries aren't bad, they're just not what folks have grown accustomed to when they think fries. Love me some fresh skillet-fried taters.

They slice the potatoes right in the kitchen before it gets dumped in the frier. They serve fries like how it's supposed to be. Not laced with dextrose, Sodium acid Pyrophosphate, hydrolyzed wheat.. Beef flavor etc like McDonald fries.

For the low carb people, the "flying dutchman" is great. Two patties, two cheese slices. Add "mustard fried" and you got a good meal there!

Whataburger is trash now. At least the ones I've hit. Very inconsistent.

In and Out has been better than Whataburger the last few times I've had a fast food burger which is admittedly rare.
