Not just illegals. Plenty of baby mamas do this as well.
Stolen identity absolutely ruined my wife's credit for years as she was coming out of school. It was amazing how little there was we could do about it at the time. Incredibly frustrating. Turned out to be some POS lady with Mexican name...probably illegal.Ryan the Temp said:
This is a very reasonable thing that should have been in place long ago. It actually happened to my mom once. Someone was using her SS number to work a job. Even though that person was actually paying taxes and SS, it caused my mom to get audited by the IRS because it was not reported on her taxes. That's how she found out what happened.

A restaurant in Bryan was one of my bookkeeping clients. The office manager showed me a letter they had received from a lawyer in Chicago. A picture of the lawyer's client was enclosed with a request to verify he had never been an employee of theirs. His SS# was noted. The office manager also showed me a current paychecks to an employee with the same name and SS#. I suggested she call immigration and let them hand out the paychecks.
The lawyer's client had been born in Austin in the 60s. The IRS was wanting taxes on unreported income, shown on W2s from Austin, El Paso, and McAllen.

This one deserves its own thread. This is another huge one. Tens of millions do this now. If you shut this down then you effectively end their ability to work any job that isn't being paid under the table. They will self deport once they start going after businesses and people for this.

I think that part of the problem is that SSNs are simply too short. There are only a billion possible 9-digit sequences, and the current US population is about 1/3 of that. So the odds are good that a "fake" SSN made up on the spot actually belongs to someone.
If SSNs were 12 or more digits, it would be less of an issue.

This is just another no-brainer that a competent govt would've been doing for decades now.
"A man 4 years dead requesting social security… A grandma collecting W-2s as a bricklayer… an 11yo don't applying for a loan… How peculiar! Perhaps we should investigate for identity fraud and associated crimes!"

I am sure we have easily spent over a TRILLION dollars on illegals in the last few decades. Then you have all the money we have spent on the anchor babies. Just think of how many brand-spanking-new amazing hospitals we could have built in local communities that needed new hospitals with that money!!TexasAggiesWin said:
Things like this make you wonder... what in the actual f*** were the auditors and inspector generals doing the past 5-10-20-30 years at these agencies? What a damn racket

There needs to be a way to put a lock on your social security number like you do on credit checks. When switching jobs, you unlock the account and add the new employer's W2 or 1099 then re-lock the account.
BS. Illegals don't pay krap in taxes. Not nearly enough to cover their expenses accumulated in education, healthcare, etc etc etc.Trajan88 said:
I keep seeing on social media that illegals pay $80 billion+ in federal taxes.
What is never indicated by the virtue singulars is how much illegals COST the American taxpayers.
Has to be exponentially more than fed. taxes paid.
Will be enlightening when the audit (mandated by Greg Abbott here in TX) is completed onhow much Texas hospitals (aka tax payers) are on the hook for illegals' care.
