What a frikkin waste of time this whole exercise is.
The President won the election. He gets to put his people in.
End of story.
Uh...
it's in the Constitution. So an actual conservative believes in following the Constitution:
"The United States Constitution provides that the president "shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the Supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided ..."
Well, the Constitution is man made. It is not some divine word of God or something.
In some areas, the Constt sucks. In some other ways it is archaic and needs to be updated as per the times.
In other words, the Constt needs to grow up.
PS: I don't subscribe to nonsensical labels like conservative, liberal etc. Only common sense.
