These burglaries remind me of Sam Foltz's (Nebraska punter killed in car crash) brother's home being broken into while Nebraska was honoring Foltz at a game. Awful thing to do, and takes some knowledge and coordination on the part of the burglars.

Surely they had more than just an officer observing people loading luggage into a vehicle at a hotel. Seems like the legality of the initial stop will be the most contested issue here. What made the luggage suspicious? Was the officer specifically looking at this vehicle for a reason? Or was it just on a whim?

Hopefully they had other evidence before detaining.

Chileans? But those security commercials specifically showed home break ins by white guys in the middle of the day!!

agree with this. If you come into to our country and starting breaking major laws you should be up for the death penalty. Why should the taxpayer have to support these pieces of **** in prison? Or maybe put them in a plane and drop them 30,000 feet back to Chile without a parachute.

I did. For some reason, I was thinking of Joe Montana and Joe Namath at the same time. I'm actually old enough to remember him.

Odd tangent. A few years ago after my colonoscopy I woke up and told the guy I had a dream about Joe Namath. Even for me, it was pretty weird.

You know what's even funnier about this that I put the wrong name, I remember seeing this comparison on this coat when it happened last year and I actually typed in 'Namath and Burrows coats' to get the photo and still put Montana. I was about 11 when Joe Namath quit playing football. I remember him on the football field and remember a lot of the commercials he did. If I'm not mistaken, I think he even was on a Brady Bunch episode once. I think Bobby lied about being sick to get to meet him.

Yeah. Them getting away with it because the evidence is tossed. Seems to be the only defense here. Either way it looks like they will remain in custody for either a quick deportation or a lengthy prison sentence followed by deportation.
