Commentary added before thread delete.

I'm not against people having access to neighborhood political data, but individual political data is a very slippery slope that opens the door to all sorts of corruption.

Though it would be interesting to see where and how they collect their data to see if there is a way to reverse engineer election integrity, or lack thereof in areas.

This is why registering party affiliations as some states do is a bad idea. There is a reason we have a secret ballot.

On the other hand, this might help balkanize the population between left and right which might be handy for those that anticipate a hot civil war sometime in the near future.
The best way to keep evil men from wielding great power is to not create great power in the first place.

If the data is just now commercialized, imagine how long the DNC has been using this info.

Look at all the rapid low income starter home communities going up in conservative rural areas.

If you don't think the DNC (which is just a front) has been working with irresponsible developers to shift population dynamics in certain areas, you are not paying attention.

Aggregating data to target where more blue votes need to come from via rapid home construction for attracting lib lemmings is weaponizing capitalism for sure.

This is normal for people who volunteer with campaigns (especially in primaries). Prior to block walking, you purchase an app that tells you how people vote (D or R) and how often they vote in different elections.

You then find the people with the highest likelihood to vote for your party with the highest guarantee to vote and schedule your door knocking strategically. Voter data has always been commercially available for use, just never for someone to choose their neighbors.

It varies by state, but in many it is fairly easy to look up somebody's party affiliation AND voting record online. You obviously can't see their ballots, but you can see which party primary they voted in.

My neighbors dont need an app. Was plainly obvious from the Trump sign out front and the FJB flag on my garage wall. DGAF what they think about it....

Edit to add the only neighbor with a Harris sign didn't even need a sign. I've seen him play catch with his kid and it looked similar to Fauci throwing out the first pitch. I figured I knew he was voting for just front that. But he added a Harris sign to confirm my thoughts.

Best reply on the thread so far. The data isn't new, just the way it's being used.


As a former Democratic Precinct Chair I had access to pretty much the same data in a dashboard. It's all based on publicly available info and donor info. I would assume Republicans had the same thing.
