I have to wonder if it's two fold
1). The margin of victory was a clear mandate
2). We know Biden was never truly running the show and more the fracture between him and whomever WAS running things is evident as they've said "F' it!" and walked away. Kamala can't show her face and has gone into hiding. Biden has whatever farewell tour(s) he needs to do, but it's over. Whatever toxicity there was in the West Wing has turned into complete apathy amongst the staff. This is like the person that's turned in their two weeks but didn't have to train their replacement

I've thought something similar.

If you were using all your energy/influence to pull strings and move chess pieces around, but you've effectively been cut off...why keep up the effort? It really looks like the current situation is confirmation what we already knew.

I think it's why we're seeing some last desperate moves (throwing out additional foreign aid, selling off pieces of the wall, authorizing long-range missile use, etc). One last eff you to Trump as he enters office.

My mom and dad were around when the last big "inflation adjustment " was done in the US under Jimmy Carter, Jimmy Carter and Biden were close to 2 of the worse presidents in US history, it's because they were the village idiots chosen to be in charge of the US during massive inflation hikes… my parents hated JC and the same thing happened to him, the leaders kind of washed Jimmy Carter under the rug to make way for Ronald Reagan, following similar paths. These inflation presidents are quickly thrown out so people won't remember the stuff in their presidential terms like massive inflation. Think about the times leading up to Jimmy Carter, The Vietnam war was raging and it was the time of peace and love, where people were doing all kinds of drugs and being hippies… inflation is hid by other cultural wars raging in society … I see our cultural craziness fading away quite a bit under Trump.. things will ease back towards the center … all part of the plan. Something tells me the media is going to tone down the rhetoric this Trump term
