Fell down the stairs in Luxemburge. I don't feel the slightest bit bad for her. She is an evil person who will get the best care in the world for this. Between her and the Turtle McConnel I think we need to be discussing term limits. These phyiscal injuries really highlight these people are WAY WAY past their prime. Not to mention their lack of cognitive abilities. Between these two and Biden, you could these three in a closet facing the door and then turn them 180 degrees and they would be completely lost and not know how to get out. These people should be down at the bingo hall gossiping instead of destroying our country.

People that break a hip at her age are usually not around much longer. Not sure why this is, medically speaking, but it's definitely a thing.

Maybe a Dr here can speak to this?

Yep, their chances I believe of dying within a year really go up. I don't know if it will apply to her though. She has access to the best care in the world. Also, with all the insider trading she has done over the years she is worth a couple hundred million dollars now. She has the ill gotten money and connection to not follow that pattern probably. Doesn't hurt to have satan on your side also.

Probably loss of movement results in muscle atrophy which then causes more problems.

I screwed up my back in 2019 and spent 2 months in bed and agony/pain. It is Amazing how quickly you lose muscle mass and inwas in my early 40s.

If you're in your 80s, the effects have to be much worse. Issues with circulation etc

But that's just my non-MD guess.

And we don't need term limits but age limits 100%.

Arghh, I did a Ctrl F search for " Nancy " before I posted to make sure it wasn't already here. I should have done " Pelosi " as well.

I don't care one way or another but complaining about these dinosaurs and their age while also supporting a near octogenarian with President Trump is comical.

I've talked to several people that have had hip replacements AND knee replacements and they all say the hip was much easier for rehab.

Don't know why that is.

But. the protocol for hip/knee replacement appears to be getting them up walking right after the anesthesia wears off. I know my GF did that when she got a new knee a few years ago.

Not enough time for atrophy there.

She looks sober in that picture. I hope she makes a full recovery.

I think they used to make people stay in bed after those operations and they got pneumonia. I think getting people out of bed and now making sure they get out of bed on a regular basis is to stave off pneumonia !!

Strange. I look at that same pic and she looks out of it to me. Looks a little wasted.

The difference in a scheduled replacement is there is a ton of preOP physical therapy and post op therapy immediately afterwards. This makes recovery quick. I watch it with my dad.

However this is not a scheduled replacement, it is a traumatic injury and that brings on a whole list of issues.

Trump is probably in better shape than you are -- certainly than I am. Let's just pray the Secret Service can keep him that way. At least it won't be Pelosi pushing him down the steps -- as much as she'd like to.

Not really. He is still there cognitively and also I believe in my heart of hearts that out of a population of about 330 million people. Trump is the ONLY ONE who can save this country, and God does it need saving !!!!

My mother was sharp as a tack before she broke her hip. She had surgery and lived nearly ten years after that, but her mind was seriously affected after that. There are suggestions that it was the anesthesia that did her in.

I bet you voted for Biden in '20, and in the primary this year. If so, you might want to consider sitting this one out.

My mom had two knee replacements and 2 hips. Her second hip was 2 years ago and she is now 87. Maybe my mom is an exception.

Unrelated question - is it illegal to urinate on someone's grave? I'm just asking for a friend.
