That is a ****ing great news!!

Please let Nissan share V8 technology with Honda.

And Honda teach Nissan how to reliable.

And somewhere along the line both Honda and Nissan figure out how to build a better transmission.
please keep Honda well away from truck exterior design - ugliest trucks just short of Elon

How on earth are you people breaking your cars so fast and often?

My lowest mileage vehicle is at 230,000 miles.
My 390,000 mile suburban finally started having a transmission issue, but I'll spend 2 hours swapping out the fluid and filter in my garage to get it back in service.
I just finished a 1000 mile road trip including some off roading in a 25 year old nissan, 285,000 miles. Ran great. Never worried a second about if it would.

I don't get it.

Though, for what it is worth, I have the tools, time, and knowledge to do nearly all my own maintenance and most repairs, so I can keep them going without having to turn them over to a shop when minor things come up.
Not quite in the same boat as you, but close for a long time.

At one time had a 15yr old daily driver with 170k, 10yr old Mini-van with 120K and 30yr old sports car with 25k. I did almost all the maintenance, except sometimes the wife would use the dealer coupon for $29.99 oil change.

Now, my cars are 18-months, 2-years and 22 years old...all with less than 40k miles. But I still fix all my kids' old cars when they need help.

Honda's reliability lies in their refusal to be first at technology implementation. Pretty brilliant.

So.... Are they ready now to build a flagship luxury V8 RWD sedan??? Now that their primary competition did away with V8 6 years ago.

Nissan did some great engineering before Renault got a hold of them. Now I think Honda hurts its own brand if they take them over.

The only positive effect EVs have had on society is giving Elon F U money so he can help Trump take our country back.

The utter failure of their cvt isn't helping.

All the car companies are flailing though. Stellantis has crapped the bed, Ford is scrambling to not get sued by its dealerships and sell it's inventory off at 40% of msrp, Chevy and dodge have crap failing and can't move inventory like Ford, and Toyota has trucks grenadine engines hand over fist.

People need a 15k car option, a 20k truck option, and the average vehicle to be affordable on a 40-50k salary. Instead the carmakers are producing 40-50k vehicles as BASE models and wondering why they're failing.

I had a Toyota salesman call my work phone today by accident. I politely told him what was up, and he still begged to get me in. They're all desperate, and there's just no way the overwhelming majority can entertain the discussion.

They might be desperate but the prices don't reflect it. There are no 40% off MSRP deals going on. Unless you can link me to something, that is outright fantasy.
I want to see this too.

My wife is buying a vehicle between now and the next six months and we could use one of these 40% discounts.

We are looking in the 55-65k price range and looked at the top trim level Kia Telluride and they said they don't come off of MSRP at all. I think it was 55k sticker.

I would love to get a Yukon with Super Cruise but the cheapest one I found was 80k.

I don't see 40% off. Lease/finance deals show they are pretty desperate to move metal though.

I don't know who makes their newer 9-speed auto (I assume it's ZF) but I think they are finally…moving away from those damn Jatco CVT's (they own most of that company).
