Mental and behavioral health treatment is covered under FEP health plans under the same general process as medical health care. Were these "cry sessions" provided by a behavioral health specialist credentialed by the health plan, licensed by the state to provide behavioral health care services, documented appropriately, and properly billed by the specialist as required by the health plan?

No, it is actually a decent question. The answer is that there is a mechanism to bill for legitimate covered mental health treatment services provided by a credentialed, licensed mental health care provider according to rules established for federal employee health plan benefits. But I'm 100% certain that "TDS" is not a real covered diagnosis and group "cry sessions" are not covered services. So billing FEP for such nonsense is not an option.
