I've read comments to other posts, but one name that hasn't been mentioned as a possible replacement is Trey Gowdy.

The guy was nails but left DC to become an anchor. I'm unaware of his reason(s) for leaving. Still, he has an incredible legat wit; the only drawback that I'm aware of is he's a BayLOL grad.

Thoughts on Gowdy; if not him, who would you support?

Not bad; I've seen Paxton's name being mentioned but there's no way he survives the vetting process. Besides, I like him here in Texas, primarily because he dislikes Phelan, but I wouldn't buy a used car from Paxton.
