So we are back to hookers working the party circuit seeing another hooker working the party circuit who happened to be 17?

Sleazy and distasteful of course. But pardon me if I'm not clutching my pearls over that.

Let's do just that. Get it all out there. R or D, time to purge the dirty ****s, no matter how high up the chain it goes.
I'm fine with that. But this only ever goes one way.
Well, when you can't get your indiscretions past a committee equally staffed with people from your own party, maybe it's time to have a hard look at your indiscretions.

Hey, I am all for throwing the bums out.

I am also fine with committees not making things up. I am still skeptical that Biden's DOJ couldn't file charges on the guy but a congressional committee knows the truth. Reeks of Paxton and Phelan.

The committee said he violated state laws. So it's up to whatever state he committed the crimes in to pursue it.

Here's the report itself. Lol, he even got his Chief of Staff to get one of his lays an expedited passport by lying about her address.

And kept in contact with the 17 year old after he found out her age.

thank the lord we have Pam Bondi now instead!

it's a bit more than distasteful

So it's customary for the DOJ to not refer a case to state authorities if they suspect a state crime has been committed? That seems ........ unbelievable.

There was a good reason why many people said Gaetz was a bad pick for AG and not worth the political capital.

Hopefully this is the end of him for good. Conservatism does not need guys like this.

And as I've said on other threads, every single ethics committee report on anyone currently in Congress, as well as the information on their slush fund payouts for bad behavior, should be released to the public in full, regardless of party.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Imagine if Gaetz gets indicted by the state of Florida.

Somehow people will blame it on DeSantis for Gaetz being a sleeze.

The fed doesn't release that kind of stuff publicly. They never have.

It's very likely that Florida was notified and they were waiting on this report to get proper probable cause for their own warrants and for the political cover to go after a political opponent of DeSantis.

They probably already were.

Like I said, the law moves slow. They don't make everything public. The last subpoena I had to testify in a sexual assault case was a case I had worked nearly 2 years previously and was committed nearly 6 months before I worked it. Throw in a politician using political capital to stonewall it, then it can take a lot longer.
