There's nothing in the report to release…you literally have testimony that was orchestrated by some dude in prison who is in prison for orchestrating false testimony…
Doesn't matter. If it's not leaked before his confirmation hearings, I'll eat my shirt.dmart90 said:

WASHINGTONThe bipartisan House panel probing sexual-misconduct allegations against former Rep. Matt Gaetz declined Wednesday to release its report on President-elect Donald Trump's pick for attorney general, setting the stage for an effort by Democrats to force a vote on the matter.
"There was no agreement by the committee to release the report," said Rep. Michael Guest (R., Miss.), the chairman of the secretive panel, after a two-hour meeting. Other members of the panel left the meeting without talking to reporters.
This should piss you off - regardless who you support.
I have to ask. Would you consider Merrick Garland ethical in the way he has executed the position of AG?HTownAg98 said:Mr. Fingerbottom said:HTownAg98 said:
Can't tell is this is satire or trolling.
You think open borders to facilitate sex slave trade, drug trade, & commerce of violent criminals is ethical?
You think stealing money from Americans to run it through a war machine money launderer is ethical?
You think men in the bathroom w little girls is ethical?
I could keep going but the point will probably never make it through to you.....
Irrelevant. We can have a separate debate if these policies are moral or ethical (in my opinion, they aren't). This discussion is more about if the people that are going to be in charge will be ethical. You'd have to be damn fool if you think that's the case.
The Biden DOJ -- not the Trump DOJ: the Biden DOJ -- intensively investigated possible crimes by Matt Gaetz. After 18 months of leaking to destroy his reputation in the press, the Biden DOJ decided they couldn't even charge him, and closed the case.

WRONG. It is not "fine." It goes against the standard practice. It is a smear job against someone that resigned from Congress.HoldMyBeer said:

That is not going to happen. Please tell me you understand that!Quote:

Oh, bet you are right. It would explain why for such a "done deal" - with Gaetz out of the picture on so many levels now, they are doing this.Bunk Moreland said:HoldMyBeer said:

Agree.
Also this feels like a decision made (by House Republicans too) to flip the news cycle and avoid more criticism of the spending bill
Someone suggested the following plan to me:

1. Show up 1/3/2025 to congress
2. Participate in Speaker election (I was elected to the 119th Congress, after all…)
3. Take the oath
4. File a privileged motion to expose every “me too” settlement paid using public funds (even of…

It shouldn't be a problem since there is nothing worth being concerned about in the report.
What's wild is the number of women involved, and Gaetz left a paper trail of the whole thing.Anonymous Source said:What's a little statutory rape among friends, amirite?Ghost of Andrew Eaton said:

There is no high standard and has not been for at least 60 years. But I agree: publish every single congressional payout. Americans deserve to know.Dill-Ag13 said:agAngeldad said:This should be the year to hammer the D on all their crap....Ellis Wyatt said:

Hammer the Ds? Let's quit the partisan crap and hammer all of them. This is about law and order and upholding a high standard for those in public office. Absolute trash on all sides.
