I 100% agree with your assessment of what Russia is doing. Playing the victim to take Ukraine.

But at the same time that can be true and we can seek other means to end the war other than escalation.

And remeber this isn't 2 years into Biden's term. We are 2 months from Trump taking office. Which Putin has publicly said he will listen to Trumps plan to end the war.

Does it not make sense to wait two months before we start killing more people? It's two months.

Storm Shadows have nothing to do with us and their extended range use authorization from the Euros, who supplied them came before Bidens Admin release on the ATACAMS.

Except that congress specifically authorized aid packages to include weapons like ATACMS to be given to Ukraine.

I am frustrated at the NKs and Russians and Chinese too. But I'm American and so I'm frustrated that my own country is actively trying to escalate ANOTHER war

It may not be Constitutional, but the SCOTUS punted on the Senate having a say in wars long ago. Dellums v. Bush and Campbell v. Clinton largely eliminated the checks on POTUS power

I had not heard that. The missile in question has been used before.

Yes it requires US personnel for targeting and operating. Which is why they have been limited to use within Ukraine. Why is why Use inside Russia is a 100% escalation and is requiring of Biden changing tbe ROE.

And so you will have American service members actively launching attacks inside Russia.

It will no longer be a proxy war but a hot US war vs Russia.

But seemingly everyone but Trump wants escalation so they will escalate before he takes office.

Suddenly this is a concern but not when Ukraine was using HIMARS to fire GMLRs into Russia? You enter a coordinate, and the missile goes there. Hitting an ammo storage site (like they did) doesn't require any special targeting. Enter the coordinates, fire.

Maybe don't swallow Russian talking points so easily.

Who gives a sh/t if Russians and Ukrainians want to kill each other?

Further, where do we get off deciding how much of Ukraine Russia is allowed to arbitrarily take? If Ukraine wants to try to liberate themselves from the Russian invasion, why exactly should anyone that isn't Russian or Ukrainian care?

Russia (and more specifically Putin) isn't going to nuke anyone, because that would be the end of Russia and Putin knows it. He's not looking to give up his cushy job by doing anything stupid. Even if Russia got their asses expelled from the entirety of Ukraine he would still rather be the living dictator of Russia than the dead dictator of a glowing, smoldering mass of rubble and dead people.

Makes you wonder what tf Biden and Trump discussed and agreed on. I simply can't imagine Trump being behind any of this and would be significantly disappointed if he did given the American people have no idea what the US strategy is here.

I'm good with it if it makes sense, but it sure as heck doesn't aligned with Biden the past 4 years, especially with the long range missiles. Whatever it takes I guess to shut Putin down and end this 1,000+ day scam.

I think the importing of North Korean troops to fight Ukrainians was a bridge too far for the US and Europe. We make so much of our escalation but look the other way at Russia's.
