If the issue is cows producing too much methane, changing the feed seems like the best course of action. Trials involving adding small amounts of a particular type of seaweed to their feed reduced methane in their farts by 98% but also caused some significant health issues and isn't a viable solution. Finding something like this which doesn't impact the cow's health would be ideal.
