Bucks County Board of Commissioners Chair Diane Ellis-Marseglia said Monday that her comments about violating the Pennsylvania Supreme Court were taken out of context after they set off a national backlash against the county's election board.

Ellis-Marseglia, a Democrat, blamed a "misinterpretation of [an] inartfully worded statement on my part" after her comment drew rebukes from President-elect Donald Trump's campaign and the state's Democratic governor, among a host of others, after Bucks County was one of several that defied a guidance from the state's high court and voted to accept undated mail ballots.

"I apologize for all the upset and confusion it caused," Ellis-Marseglia said about her comments.
Last week, Ellis-Marseglia contended the court precedent no longer matters in this country in justifying her vote to include ballots deemed deficient by the state Supreme Court

Never trust a woman with a hyphenated last name.

This is literally my approach to a lot of down ballot votes in primaries or where the party affiliation is unknown. There's only a handful of hyphenated names I've ever voted for and that's because I knew they were the better candidate than XYZ. I also eliminate any Haiydens, Khaydens, Bray-dinns, and Kai, Jay, Jade, Elliot, Raine, River, Lyllith, etc.

This lady looks like a psycho. I feel horrible for any man who has ever been in any type of relationship with this woman.

Are we to assume her expertise to be on the election commission based on her being an LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker? The way I interpret that is that she is activist, likely with a Marxist bend, probably nutured by multiple college classes in intersectional based studies. She is doing exactly what she was educated to do.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders would get my vote...for any position pretty much.

Although, I can kind of see why some people (in her type of position) might hyphenate their names. An actress or female politician completely changing their name could kill their career imo.

Is Sarah Sanders' name hyphenated? I think people just add the Huckabee so they know who they're talking about.

The woman on that board should be in jail.

Gaetz must go after her wilful violation of the the law.

(D) Gov. Shapiro even knew what she did was a bridge too-far.

Scott Pressler is my very favorite openly gay man.

I'm pretty sure that there may be closet gay men that I like better, but, not my business.
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms … disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes… . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”
