I have never donated to A&M. In 26 years since I graduated. They make enough money. I need more of my money than they do. Why should I donate so they send it to Jimbo Fisher and Sumlin?
You could ear tag your money to go to a specific education department
That is worthless. You tag your donation to go to engineering, and any equal amount gets moved from engineering to trans-women gender studies.
I know that is how the state government works when it comes to education funding, just not sure how that works in college funding. I'm assuming people who do directed giving to specific colleges receive plenty of feedback from those colleges, including information about budgets. So if the budget is the same year after year despite their giving (something I think everyone would notice), they're going to ask questions.
Or do you think these colleges are lying about their budgets and redirecting money to trans-women gender studies, i.e. fraud?
No, I do not have proof. No, I do think universities are lying about budgets. However, money is fungible and if the university wants to fund a woke course, they can simply allocate non-directed funds to those programs. Unless all funding comes from sources that direct its use, then there will be discretionary funds that can be diverted.
