I wonder if Musk is going to use this as an opportunity to push for limits on defamation claims. This would be the prime case to do it. The "victims" don't care about restitution, they just want to embarrass and silence Jones which falls well outside of the intent of the law.

Yep, it's political persecution stomping on the 1st Amendment.
People say that until their child is murdered and he's making up ridiculous conspiracies claiming it didn't happen and becoming mega rich over doing it over and over. He 100% knew what he was claiming was false but also knew his idiot listeners would not only believe it, but would bring more idiots along for the ride.

I'm just glad most people 1) Think he's a despicable opportunist and 2) Understand that the 1A only keeps the persecution in most instances from the gov't. It doesn't protect from the wrath of society.
A couple questions for you:
A) how many times did Jones assert it was a hoax on his show?
B) what $ of earnings can be directly attributed his assertion that it was a hoax?
C) what was the duration between his assertions and recanting?
D) what proof do you have that he knew he lied when he asserted it was a hoax?

He may have said some despicable things - but if he were as bad as you say then you wouldn't have to use hyperbole, exaggeration, and lies to pain him in a bad light.
You can look up all of these things. Kudos for goal tending for Alex Jones, though. The dischord between conservatives who care about ethics, morality and who we nominate and associate ourselves with and those who either don't or rationalize this behavior as long as the "libs get owned" will come to a head at some point.

Of course anyone is welcome to their opinion of AJ. I just haven't met one conservative Christian in my orbit who holds a modicum of respect for the man, nor do they feel sorry for his financial troubles.
How about ONE of those questions? Surely someone who has set their mind set on his destruction knows at least ONE of the facts necessary to justify that position, right?!

How about the riches question since you personally asserted that he got wealthy off of the slander - what's the number?

first united american companies bid $3.5mm

the onion bid $1.75mm in cash, plus the families' waiver of certain cash proceeds for the benefit of other unsecured creditors, which they say totals $7mm.

the onion and families won the auction.


judge to decide what happens next.

Sounds like the trustee accepted the bid that satisfied the most creditors, which is the trustee's job.

Just to be clarify, the guy that everyone is laughing at here CORRECTLY called the election for Trump over an hour before the media called it...even busted out the champagne and celebrated with his staff because it was CLEAR who had won...and the media still delayed it as long as they could.

I'm pretty sure EVERYONE correctly called the election for Trump over an hour before the media called it. That's not a big deal.
