She does. I think she's been a long time resident. Not sure how Bondi would be an advantage long term.Quote:
Does she officially reside in Florida? Or does that matter anymore.
Surely this is sarcasm. I mean, it's supposed to be the most insulated/aristocratic body of course by design, but have you looked at the US Senate lately?stetson said:
I'm not a fan of rookies going to the Senate. They should be the august body of Congress comprised of experienced statesmen.
Spoiler alert; you're not gonna like whoever the appointment is, and will feign shocked disaffection no matter what.BoydCrowder13 said:

My thought is Trump selected Rubio in a negotiated plan with DeSantis as to who gets this one. Not announcing it yet is just part of the show this week.
Yep. Florida is the model that we should be trying to replicate around the country and yet Scott was not part of what made that happen and Lara Trump also wasn't involved in making that happen.BoydCrowder13 said:nortex97 said:Spoiler alert; you're not gonna like whoever the appointment is, and will feign shocked disaffection no matter what.BoydCrowder13 said:

Name another Republican nominee and I'll probably be fine with it. You are compromising your principles on nepotism in politics. I'm not.
3 democrat PA Supreme Court Justices are up for retention in November 2025.

If Pennsylvania votes NO to retention, then there will be special elections to replace them in 2027.
If you want to reshape the PA Supreme Court in preparation for 2028,
then I need your help.

And keep the Senate and the House in 2026 to extend Trump's runway to fix things. Two years will not be enough. Why it was so important to extend Reagan into a second term in 1984. Bak then we could trust the American people to see Reagan was working and things were getting better after some economic pain and voted accordingly.rausr said:
Completely agree with Mrs. Hawg here - need to put our best resources to fighting the PA hijinks.
Lara and the RNC team need to be all over that.

I support this happening. She did great in the campaign role/at the RNC, and would have excellent contact/relationships/influence as a rookie senator.
