Anytime the public thinks we are cutting something important or not cutting something wasteful, just let us know!

We will also have a leaderboard for most insanely dumb spending of your tax dollars. This will be both extremely tragic and extremely entertaining

There was a gov't funded study about primates masturbating.

Why is that studied?
Who studies that?
Why would the Gov't back it?
oh no

the old idiom of a monkey ****ing a football does fit quite nicely as an analogy for government doing just about anything.

Well let's just hope that they are salaried and not getting paid at overtime rates.

I'm ok with overtime if the money is coming from costs they cut.

In fact, I'd suggest most of the budget for DOGE comes from the money they save. To fund DOGE the next year you use a percent of cuts from this year, etc. Except for the first year obviously... As the cuts slow down, so does spending on DOGE. And give those guys bonuses when they find big stuff to cut, etc.

Crowdsourcing the investigation into government waste. Making it into a competition of sorts.

Great way to get pubic interest and support. It's amazing what a couple of smart guys from the private sector can do in a few days that government has been unable to do for multiple decades.

My comment was in jest. I can agree with you on the funding coming from savings.

I just thought it was ironic and humorous that the Dept of Gov Efficiency was working overtime as stated in their tweet.

Why stop here, why not crowd source for every government agency decision? I mean the American public is a wealth of knowledge and critical thinking. What could go wrong? Certainly wouldn't slow things down even more than the current bureaucratic pace.
I'm all for cutting ridiculous expenditures. Leaving it up to input from the masses doesn't inspire a lot of confidence, especially in todays ***** and moan social media posting every thought

Government efficiency is an oxymoron. But let's give it a try.
