76 million people don't have daily interaction with Donald Trump. The man has a habit of making great friends with people one day, and (at least acting like) bitter enemies the next.

I suspect though that Elon will have better odds with Trump than most. He's there to do 1 job, and I don't suspect he will want to stay any longer than he needs to. That's the ideal interaction as far as staying on Trump's good side.

This is how Elon works.

He did it with the Tesla factory, with SpaceX's first 3 launches, and with the Twitter buyout. He will throw himself into a problem relentlessly until it starts rolling. Then he will pass it off to his proven lieutenants to carry on the mission. I would be surprised if Elon is elbow deep still within a year. He will be focused on the Mars window that is rapidly approaching and is a cornerstone to his SpaceX empire.

This is the "laser focus" Elon is known for. He's locking into this role already. Fantastic.

And I'd bet Elon is one of the few that can stay in the friend zone with Trump. I think post-assassination attempts (and he's also 79 now), Trump has also mellowed a good bit.

Trump and family were on a golf outing. Trump's grand daughter is a golfer and got a college admit on a golf scholarship. Musk joined them this time and hence the photo. He wasn't dating the 17 year old.
