Look, we all know Trump has a huge ego, but at this point I think that is irrelevant to Trump. Winning was his goal and brought him the validation he wanted/needed. The rest is just icing now . The man isn't intimidated by other people's wealth and he surely isn't by Elon's popularity. If anything, he was/is savvy enough to know how beneficial it is to him. Frankly, both are using each other's popularity to their advantage. I also believe they genuinely like each other because they both seem to have a similar drive and fight to them.
