Team Trump needs to ask for, and receive, public promises to vote for a new Senate majority leader in January.

Start with Cruz, and put a list together. You have 21 senators running in 2026. Threaten to primary every one of those jokers if they don't make a public pledge for new leadership.

There is a way to circumvent a secret ballot.

They are accountable to the electorate every 6 years.

The Senate does things like this in an attempt to maintain decorum. The House is supposed to be the emotional, blowing in the wind body, while the Senate is supposed to be more statesmanlike and deliberative.
