When it looked like Trump was gonna win electoral vote, lib media kept saying get rid of electoral college. Once he won the popular vote lib media went dead silent on getting rid of electoral college.

Trump winning the popular vote was a devastating moment for the Democrats. Never in a thousand years did they think they would ever lose it again. His victory margin was so complete that it obliterated the whole anti electoral college narrative. Stunned silence is a good description of their initial response. It was a sight to behold.

I found it funny that all the exit polls indicated "democracy" was a top issue, making the media believe Kamala would win early on. I guess voters had a different opinion on what democracy is.

I remember some of the posters on here like Kellso over the past several elections saying the Republicans will never win the popular vote ever again and their electoral chances get worse every time because of the 'changing demographics'.Ag87H2O said:

As Reagan used to say, "The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant. It's that they just know so much that isn't so."Gigem314 said:I remember some of the posters on here like Kellso over the past several elections saying the Republicans will never win the popular vote ever again and their electoral chances get worse every time because of the 'changing demographics'.Ag87H2O said:

I found it hilarious that the dems were going to "save democracy" by running a candidate that never received a single vote in the primary elections.leachfan said:

Yeah, what happened to that dude? Has he posted at all since the elections? So many tremendously bad takes I thought he worked for ESPN.Gigem314 said:I remember some of the posters on here like Kellso over the past several elections saying the Republicans will never win the popular vote ever again and their electoral chances get worse every time because of the 'changing demographics'.Ag87H2O said:

Quote:
The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) is an agreement among a group of U.S. states and the District of Columbia to award all their electoral votes to whichever presidential ticket wins the overall popular vote in the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Quote:
Taking the form of an interstate compact, the agreement would go into effect among participating states only after they collectively represent an absolute majority of votes (currently at least 270) in the Electoral College. Once in effect, in each presidential election the participating states would award all of their electoral votes to the candidate with the largest national popular vote total across the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The new talking point out on X is that more people voted for Trump to NOT be President if you add all the 3rd party votes to Harris' total. Is this the Negotiating stage of grief?
AOC is saying "Here, hold my beer!"*doubledog said:
This is the Democratic Party shifted hard left. Biden was elected because people remember he was once center-left (less the cheat of course). Harris was about as far left has they could go.

That's because they never in a million years thought Hispanics would move to the right the way they did.
I've been saying for years that Hispanics would keep Texas red while they assumed they would swing it Blue. If you look at the last 4 elections the RGV has been moving to the right the entire time.
In 2008 and 2012 Obama got like 85-86% of Starr county and 70% of Hidalgo county.
In 2016 Hillary got 80% and 68% respectively
In 2020 it was down to 58% and 52% and the writing was on the wall but they ignored that
In 2024 Trump won both at 58% and 52% a total reversal from 2020
That completed a 70 point swing in Starr county and 45 point swing in Hidalgo county.
Thats with a >65% population increase in Hidalgo county from 130K votes in 2008 to 216K votes in 2024.
Similar things seen across the country in Hispanic heavy areas.
For this to have happened, we need to thank our brothers and sisters in all those deep blue states that went out and cast a vote knowing they wouldn't impact their particular state. There are still good people scattered all over this country. We can look at the vote by county maps and see all the red.Ag87H2O said:
