I think I saw somewhere that for that stat exit polls had like 58% of Trump voters agreeing while only 40% of Harris voters had it as an issue. Their rhetoric boomeranged on them.

This is the Democratic Party shifted hard left. Biden was elected because people remember he was once center-left (less the cheat of course). Harris was about as far left has they could go.

I'm guessing several states will rethink their membership in the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.

That's because they never in a million years thought Hispanics would move to the right the way they did.

I've been saying for years that Hispanics would keep Texas red while they assumed they would swing it Blue. If you look at the last 4 elections the RGV has been moving to the right the entire time.

In 2008 and 2012 Obama got like 85-86% of Starr county and 70% of Hidalgo county.
In 2016 Hillary got 80% and 68% respectively
In 2020 it was down to 58% and 52% and the writing was on the wall but they ignored that
In 2024 Trump won both at 58% and 52% a total reversal from 2020

That completed a 70 point swing in Starr county and 45 point swing in Hidalgo county.

Thats with a >65% population increase in Hidalgo county from 130K votes in 2008 to 216K votes in 2024.

Similar things seen across the country in Hispanic heavy areas.

The new talking point out on X is that more people voted for Trump to NOT be President if you add all the 3rd party votes to Harris' total. Is this the Negotiating stage of grief?

On Oct 22 I posted that Trump looked like he was going to win the popular vote by 3% and Big Fred blasted me with the "there's no chance" nonsense. I few days ago I bumped that thread to ask him his thoughts but I guess he missed it. He's posted though, some nonsense about Trump destroying the Constitution.

Absolutely they deserve tons of credit.

I also think Trump suspected he was going to win and decided he wanted to make a statement. It's why he campaigned in California and New York in the weeks before the election. He wanted to leave no doubt and remove the popular vote talking point.

The only reason Dems won popular vote in the past was because of the ballot stuffing in the states that do not require id to vote, ie Blue states .. if that can be fixed they may not win an election.
