Not surprising if true, the way it happened was irregular and did not fit the moment. The President should never announce something like that in that manner. A tweet or a press release to announce you're not running? LBJs similar announcement is like a huge historical moment that Ive seen a hundred times and it happened more than a decade before I was even born...but OK, the White House just sent out a release and then Biden isnt even heard from or seen for a long time after that?

One guy on Twitter doesn't make it true, but everybody pretty much knew this was what happened. On, what, Friday afternoon he said he was never dropping out and then on Sunday morning a press release hit Twitter followed by a week of zero public appearances by him?

Best possible outcome could be a split of the Democratic party. Let them fracture in two and the Rs will win every election. In the short term anyway. In the long run it would even out which would be great one would become centrist and the other two extreme ends.
