How is it acceptable, for any state to need an extra 7 days to count the votes on a congressional race? These races are probably 250,000 ballots. This is planned.

We're on a ticking clock for two years. In two years things could flip in the House, then election season for 2028 will start to ramp up with Trump a lame duck.

Republicans have a great opportunity here to fix/correct some things and the country's trajectory. Let's hope for once they can be united in this.

Exactly. Basically two years to go scorched earth on DC, immigration, crime, term limits, voting laws, spending, etc. if not done the next two years it won't EVER happen in our lifetimes.

I'm concerned about pulling sitting members of Congress (either chamber) when our margins are so thin. I was surprised to see him name Stefanik (first example) so I read up on it. NY Gov (Hochul) has 10 days to call a special election. The district Stefanik comes from is supposedly "ruby red" and very pro-Trump. Stefanik just won 63% of the vote there, so hopefully her replacement is a non-issue.

Clearly this would all be considered before pulling someone from (say) a state where the (D) governor woudl appoint the replacement.

The AP has called it, and they are the slowest most careful service.
The race may not be over, but the democrats are way behind.

Nothing new? No drops? They quit counting?
Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne, and myself founded empires; but upon what foundation did we rest the creations of our genius? Upon force! But Jesus Christ founded His upon love; and at this hour millions of men would die for Him. - Napoleon Bonaparte
