It's a shame that Bernie Sanders is a socialist. I really think he cares about the American people, he is just wrong on how to take care of them.
Try and make something idiot proof, and all they do is make a better idiot.

Dude, I had the exact same revelation today.

I was super pissed that the guy that got puked on by Paul rudd in I Love You, Man was so politically outspoken.

The MSM has done them zero favors by elevating the squad members or ?potentially? more sane D's that have been elected over the past few cycles.

The only ones that have name/face recognition are the crazies.

Whomever comes out ahead isn't someone nationally known currently, other than possibly Shapiro. If he takes his current opportunity to get his name out as a voice of reason.

Don't mistake my 1st sentence as support for the MSM. The tree of liberty needs watering and the absolute best start is with the MSM. Until there is a snout to tail gutting and culminating in a big glorious BBQ of the MS, nothing will change.

Don't even begin to think this ends the democratic party.

I promise you that you could put a picture of my dog's butt on the top of the democrat ticket and my dog's butt would get 48% of the vote. They vote for the democrat machine and the woke agenda.

So you see it really doesn't matter who they choose it is just one A-hole or the other...48% of the vote.

Unless we get that number down to below 45% permanently then America will have to deal with democrat party destruction of values and decency. Ask Riley Gaines.
Oh the Dems will be back but they will look different when they do. Our system is set up to always have 2 parties that fight over issues, the issues themselves change over time. The point is that the Dems are coming to the end of the run they started under Obama in 2008 that kept the groups together and now there isn't a clear direction of what comes next. You have a LOT of folks that have been taking a back seat for years because they didn't want to be blamed for causing the Dems to lose and that is gone now. Now it is "Why did we lose?" and "Where do we go from here?" and there is no consensus. That means civil war within the party until someone eventually wins.

Eventually though the phoenix will rise again though, it is inevitable. I'm just going to enjoy toasting marshmallows watching them burn it all down in the meantime while Trump is putting out one policy proposal after another that can only be defeated with a unified Dem Party which they do not have.

The democratic members of congress have been in lock step 10 years. Their leadership thinks they are on the right path. No amount of gaslighting could disguise where they are headed. Most of the rest of us have been wondering when their voters would start responding to their leftist rush. No amount of gaslighting could disguise where they were headed.

That was spot on. I hope the democrat party takes this to heart, has some measure of self-awareness, and comes back from the far far left and support America and Americans again, but they haven't shown that ability for some time.

I'm afraid they will just double down again.

This conforms to me what I've thought all this time...when they got stuck with Kamala, instead of Gavin Newsom, they had no choice but to see how far left their campaign could go. I've always thought that Walz was picked because Shapiro knew better than to join their ticket, but I also don't think Harris wanted him, as they were scared to death of the Muslim pushback from Dearborn, MI...at any rate, going so far left was an experiment. If it worked, by some fashion, they would have realized their wildest libtopia dreams. But if it didn't, what lessons could they learn going forward, when they won't have Trump to face again...how far left can they NOT go?

In 2028, the Dems will go back to a white man. DEI died on their Leftist vine. It'll be a Dem governor. Newsom is still gonna be the favorite--he has name recognition, will still be able to make suburban white women feel tingly, and he is extremely smooth. He's the Fully White Obama. His drawback is that he's uber-lib and Kalifornia is a giant mess. Next could be Shapiro from PA. Popular Rust Belt governor who doesn't want Green Energy explicitly. But he's Jewish--the Left isn't gonna just abandon their hatred of all things Jew in 4 years. That's their stupidity that they cannot get away from. Beshears is a popular governor in his Southern state of Kentucky, but he isn't really well-known. And he made the mistake of going after JD Vance during the convention, so I expect that alone to haunt him, as JD is not someone to eff around with. Frau Whitmer may run, but she's no more than Hillary 2.0, a female that resembles the principal at your high school that nobody liked that wasn't a suckup.

I'll guess it will be Newsom vs JD Vance in 2028. Which probably means it will be Kamala against Donald Trump, Jr...

LOL. DeSantis pantsed Newsom in their debate. Vance would leave him in a quivering pool of rhetorical slime just on Newsom's policies in California.

Just a reminder that Bernie claims independence yet caucuses with Dems. He plays both sides of the coin. Dems vote for him, but he does not have to answer to the party. Therefore he can throw turds at them when it is convenient for himself with little impunity.

He is probably too old for it to matter anymore, but if I were in charge of the Dems I would tell him to sh or get off the pot. He can run his little commie party out of Vermont if he wants, but we shouldn't be listening to this smug old fart on a national level.

I predict we are about to witness a real insurrection unfold from the democrats in D.C. and across this country.

Don't think for a minute they will not destroy property and flood the streets with Soros' backed insurrectionists.

They will not accept the results by the people and violence will occur.

Be prepared!
Good grief. The only problem with the our party today is that we've now made any and all conspiracy theorists feel welcome.

I get the feeling that there are some who just really really want some kind of insurrection or civil war between parties to happen. Either that or they just hate the left so much that they need the satisfaction of seeing anyone that voted for the Dems suffer.

Even the Dems just want to move on. They screwed themselves by letting to many far left leaning folks move their party further left and they know if they want to win in the future they are going to have to swing back toward the middle.

Nothing on an even remotely large scale insurrection is going to happen. They didn't even try to select fake electors and claim massive fraud, they've just accepted the defeat.

We can dislike the Dems policies, but the desire to keep making everyone who votes democrat an enemy with nefarious intent isn't good for the country.

Those losers can play nice and extend an olive branch if they want.

The rest of us are urging trump to absolutely route them and go home a **** the prom Queen. That's what's best for our nation. Dems can be along for the ride if they want to play nice.

I don't think that's what he is talking about. He's talking about how there is a radicalized portion of the Left with folks like what is behind Antifa and BLM that have become basically professional protestors. They live to protest and riot. Until they are shut down with force they are going to push the envelope. The only question is what happens with the funding from folks like Soros and if he continues.

This isn't about an actual war or certainly the majority of Dem voters but there are some serious nutjobs who have become accustomed to doing anything they want whenever they want.
That makes more sense. I have heard rumblings that some far left conspiracy idiots are already claiming Musk stole the election via Starlink. Hopefully is there is a a couple of sporadic incidents like in Seattle, that Trump sends in Troops to squash it and they get convicted.

The GOP civil war happened after Romney lost and the big blow was Trump destroying Jeb! It isolated the neocons which were shown to be only a small part of the Party with oversized influence. The Senate Leadership battle is the last stand for those folks as McConnell was their last guy in power. The problem those folks are going to run into as well is the Democrats don't want them either after last Tuesday because they always hated them and now they aren't useful to them.
