If I'm reading the Pennsylvania Senate numbers right, McCormick is now up by .6%, which is greater than the automatic recount threshold of .5%. If that lasts, I think everyone who hasn't already done so will go ahead and call it for McCormick.

Like everywhere else in the country, it's super gerrymandered. The 3 major population centers that vote heavily dem are all placed in a separate district so they dominate the rest of the state.

So? Isn't he allowed to vote for whomever he chooses? If I based my entertainment choices on the entertainers that vote and think exactly like me, there likely would be not much entertainment to consume. I assume that everyone that pretends for a living has a different viewpoint than me, and the reality of it is that their vote counts exactly the same as mine. Thankfully, those of us on the conservative side are in the majority and are not easily swayed by the opinions of a two bit entertainer.

Are there any instances where the GOP ever has a sharp dump of votes like that?

Doesn't pass the smell test and I'm just trying to have a smidgeon of open mindedness. It's just so counterintuitive and outright in your face if it only happens to one party.

So, he is allowed to vote for whomever he chooses. After seeing the damage brought to our great nation since 2008, I am less inclined to support those that use their positions of prominence to sway the vote. My preference would be that entertainers stick to entertaining and stay out of politics so that I can enjoy them without the feeling of regret that they are undermining our great Republic.

I still listen to him. Just not as much as I used to. Same for a lot of entertainers.

I agree that I wish those that have attained a level of celebrity as an entertainer should just stick to entertaining and not force their opinions on others. Thankfully, most of us are able to filter through their paid endorsements and ignore the noise.

I have always been an REK fan and still get sentimental when the first notes of the Front Porch Song come on. I do find myself listening to him less and less, but still enjoy his songs on the playlist. Every time that I cross the Brazos, I verify that it still runs muddy, and I know that every time I look down river, I am getting closer to home. As far as politics go, I have the frame of mind to discount any of those entertainers that cannot seperate politics from their time on stage. I think of the line in Pure Country where they are talking about cranking up the fire on the dancing chicken, and remind myself that that little white speck in chicken $%^! holds as much weight as an entertainer's political opinion. It is still just chicken $%^&!

Yes, but they are smaller because they come in from smaller counties. When Milwaukee dumps an entire category of votes at one time, that's what happens. That dump you saw in Wisconsin on Tuesday was big, but not as big as the one we saw in 2020. That's the interesting question: why was the 2020 dump so much bigger?

Florida sees them in larger panhandle areas. They are usually from urban districts and will always favor democrats. Just the nature of the beast.

It's not 95%, you'll notice an uptick in republican votes at the same time.

But in many places it is well over 80%, yes. Mail in voting overwhelmingly self selects for democrats, it's just the nature of the beast. Combine that with how Wisconsin dumps their results from larger counties and that graph looks like every Wisconsin vote graph since 1996.
