Looks like the Dem House incumbent is going to hold on in Maine 2 despite Trump winning the district. Was a hopeful GOP flip. Not going to change the math. Still looking at a likely 222-213 majority.
I keep hearing 222-223 for R's but dems are desperate. Are these almost locks, or can some shenanigans happen and they hold the house?

Different states have different levels for automatic recounts. So that could still happen, I guess.

I have waited over 4 years to use this on the democrats...

What the hell happenedwith Ellis county?
Like Kaufmann Co next door. RAPID population growth. They were literally all red farming counties 15 years ago and now mostly suburban. They may have shifted bluer but still far from blue.

Don't look now, but Trump is less than 2M votes away from matching his 2020 popular vote tally...and CA and AZ are still counting...

House Update:

https://texags.com/forums/16/topics/3506025

11/7 11am update:
  • No new calls yet, but a good drop an hour ago for AZ 6 to slightly grow the lead.
  • More vote in this morning in CO 3 and the GOP candidate is still well ahead. This one is all but certain.
  • Frustrated PA 7, 8, 10 haven't been called for GOP yet but they will.
  • No new drops yet for IA 1 but there's almost nothing left to count. This one will go to an auto recount but Miller-Meeks is much, much, much further ahead at 799 votes than she was at this time in 2022.
  • Dem still ahead by 348 votes in MD 6 after a small ballot drop an hour ago.
  • Two more obvious Dem districts have finally been called. Already factored in and will not change House math for control.

Still looking at a 223-212 or 222-213 GOP majority.

That's weird. How's Harris doing in comparison to the Dem 2020 popular vote tally? Pretty close I assume?

Exactly my point…the D "voters" from 2020 didn't just decide to stay home or not mail in their ballots…

The D "votes" in 2020 were manufactured to ensure a certain outcome…

It's becoming painfully obvious…

No where close. Without the wild west of mass mail in ballots that we saw in 2020, coupled with their well organized ballot harvesting scheme, those votes disappeared like a fart in the wind.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

I guess Kamala is just not as popular as Joe Biden, who was obviously, by far, the most popular politician to ever grace this nation with his presence.

I know Garrett Archer personally. He is actually a conservative Republican and he is the Ralston of AZ. He just is really sensitive about their voting system, which does, in fact, suck.

New House Update with a new race to watch!

Colorado 3 was just called for GOP. Expected.

Another expected Dem districted called.

206-192 as it stands now.

And oh boy -- new one to keep an eye on: CA 21. It is swinging RIGHT. Dems were expected to win this one easily but it is now a 0.86% margin. This is Fresno.

We would have 4-5 more house seats if it wasn't for some of these races having 3-4 3rd party groups that are all conservative eating away republican votes.

He has no idea who they filled out his ballot for him to vote for. He was just remembering that they promised him ice cream if he could make it through the speech without crapping his pants.

Third party hurts the most in OH 9. This is a designed "competitive" district with a GOP lean but the GOP just can't seem to run great candidates and third party vote is high.

Not all that concerned about AK 1 but you never know.

Bergich is up by 10,458 with 70% of the vote in. There are 12,830 combined votes for third parties and the second Democrat on the ballot. Those people get to rank their 2nd choice and those will transfer to the next people up the line.

The Alaska Independence Party (yes, advocating for Alaskan independence) candidate has over 10,000 votes. They are for unrestricted gun rights, privatization of federal land, and limited government. Something tells me they aren't putting the Dem in 2nd on their ballots but you never know.

I live in MARYLAND 6

and don't have much reason to believe that early voting numbers in a majority dem district will add 400 votes to Parrott

that seat is very likely gone.

Yep. The outstanding vote appears to mostly be from Rockdale. The lead for the Democrat is going to grow. Tantalizingly close though.
