I'm sticking with my original prediction: Kamala wins 272-268. She wins by razor thin margins in WI, MI, PA and Nevada. It's a fricking nightmare scenario.

Semi confident but still nervous of the amount of cheating. That's literally the only way she can win. Here is what I keep going back to that gives me confidence from the 2020 election…..

There is no massive widespread virus that was created in a Chinese lab that they can try and pin on Trump this year. That is literally how they won in 2020 along with the 2 am overnight rigging. Think about the massive amount of non covid related deaths they just chalked up to Covid that year. When you combine that with the fact that our inflation has gotten out of hand along with the tens of millions of illegals coming into the country committing violent crimes, the majority of Americans are sick of it and will vote Trump moreso then they did in 2020. Also couple that with the fact that Commie-La is just flat out avoiding any non prepared, non softball interviews…a lot of the non political people are starting to see right through it.

Final point that gives me some confidence is the latest Silver poll/predictions

That's the only way I see her winning as well. She won't get Georgia or Arizona this time, and she doesn't deserve Pennsylvania, but if enough white female suburban women come out for her there, she'll squeak by.

Would add another reason. Ironically a negative one.

For the same reason Trump lost in 2020 (at least in the sense made the election close enough to "massage" the outcome) is the same reason may win now:

Its something Tucker noted back then that stuck in the mind. He was one of the few to say that the Biden win was explicable. It went this way -- because the electorate is so mis-educated by the news and school system, they don't really understands issues and process -- only what they are experiencing. The Dems used this to excuse the rioting of 2020 --- it should have resulted in a Biden being swept away, but it didn't.

He explained it this way. So when things get bad, they blame the now, not the actual cause. Its a "get this out of here" reaction by which voters vote AGAINST THE PRESENT. Not the causes or who responsible. Change for its own sake.

It gave Biden the WH in 2020 (the cover, again) but will kick Kamala out of it now for the same reason -- the Present is what people want fixed. The way to do that is to oust the incumbent.

It makes sense to a degree. 2020 had no business being close--even with all the DNC-MSM Party running things and gaslighting since April 2020.

Hopeful but have to see it to believe it.

Maybe I'm crazy but I fear the amount of data about early voting merely lets democrats know how many fake votes they need for Tuesday.

Political homelessness. The Democrats are clearly no longer a party of the working class; the working class is voting for Trump, because the Democrats no longer represent them.

And although I do think Trump would genuinely like to reward his working class supporters (he is purely transactional), I don't think that he has either the discipline or the allies in Congress to make much difference.

The only hopes I have for this election, if Trump wins are:

1) A pause on the march to normalizing the criminal prosecution of one's political opponents

2) The Democrats perhaps being motivated to discard certain policy positions that are deeply unpopular and deeply insane (e.g., trans-ing children, de facto permanent residency for anyone who walks across the border, opposing the internal combustion engine).

How can he reward them? Tax cuts? They already pay very small percentage in income tax rate. Are we really going to take the bottom 50% to 0% income tax rate? They currently only pay 3%

I've seen a lot of betting sites and odds showing Trump's lead go way down. Don't have anything saved but will post some photos if I see some later from X. Also, never know what to believe on the internet anymore.
If you're a betting site, is there any reason you'd want those odds to tighten about now?
I don't think it matters to them. They're taking a couple of points on every trade, so that's where they're making their money.

If Kamala was approaching the low .40s on the bets, I could easily see dark money throwing a couple hundred thousand in large bets to move the odds back to even. For the campaign, the gain from the narrative of moving the betting odds back to even is probably worth more to them than simple advertising. An easy expense decision.

One more prediction from me: the Indies will break 2 out 3 to Trump. They'll vote with their wallets, pissed about immigration & inflation. She's a babbling buffoon and will get smoked.

ETA: Trump will clear 78M and she'll be like 76M

This time there are many more eyes from the right watching and looking for fraud. This time, the GOP out hustled Dems with voter registration. This time Elon owns Twitter.

Much has changed regarding the election and almost all of it benefits Trump and the GOP.

The change in leadership at the RNC was huge!

These reasons give me a quiet confidence in a Trump victory.

Trump wins with over 310 EC.
Trump wins popular vote by 2,000,000
GOP takes the Senate with 54 seats.
GOP keeps the HOR.

The left and the media will freak out, but the mandate election helps stem the damage to the country.

As a liberal Democrat, I'm going to take the risk of buying a bottle of champagne tomorrow.

I was feeling pretty good after the conventions, but ever since early voting started, I've felt better every day. And now post-Selzer poll… well, buying champagne doesn't feel like a jinx anymore.

I have a gut feel that Trump will do 110% of what he did in 2020.
Trump got 74 Million votes in 2020.
I expect Trump to get at least 81 million votes in 2024.

I'm curious if Trump will exceed the 46% mark of the popular vote.
He received 46% of the National Vote in both the16 and 20 elections.

I'm Optimistic Trump wins for the middle class to get a fair shot again, but I don't think it'll happen

My guess is we go to bed w things looking great & then wake up to a bunch of shenanigans

Then a few swing states will drag out the counts until they can claim Kamala

I have been feeling pretty good of late but then reading that the polling might have under valued women voters and that could tip the scales to Harris.

I am a former glass half full guy but after 2020 I became jaded and cynical. I should be used to this being an Aggie

I just can't get past the Democrats will do whatever it takes to win theme.

I just did what I'll bet almost no one on either side ever does. I just spent about 80-90 minutes randomly going through whatever left-leaning forums I could find to see what they're saying and it's like Bizarro World. It's the exact mirror image of here.

People asking how it's even possible that Trump is close enough to even have a chance, telling each other that the only reason he even has a chance is because everyone on the right is a low information voter that's brainwashed by all the right-wing media that's everywhere, that too many on the right are single-issue voters only care about their own pet issue, that people on the right are selfish with no morals, that if Trump wins we'll never have another election, that the right is a danger to riot if they don't win, etc.

2024 will have the most voters in US History going Democrat

Don't ever underestimate the stupidity of most people. They don't inform themselves, they just assume through ignorance that Trump is a good business man and will be good for the economy. They dont do any research and only listen to others who only get info in a vaccum. America has a journalism problem - it is a business rather a duty. It has been that way for a couple decades now.

They also are convinced that the capitol is being extra protected because of the danger of the right becoming violent:

Not likely. Possibly national guard or something. But SEALS and Delta forces almost certainly won't be used. That said, the Capitol will undoubtedly be better protected than it was on Jan 6th.

True, but Trump is an extraordinary threat, and extraordinary protection might be needed. The man is that dangerous to our democracy.

It's hysterical. This country is so hopelessly ****ed. Each side has complete tunnel vision and is only listening to people they already agree with. And we're basically divided 50/50. And people still talk about "uniting" the country. Hahahahaha! Good ****ing luck.

That's quite correct. They are the party of the ruling class (and count the MSM as part of that) -- even more surprising, they are now big supporters of the war-profiteering aspect compared to be before. Not saying the GOP-E is specially pro working class and middle class, but certainly not as neglectful in favor of global agendas.

Quote:

And although I do think Trump would genuinely like to reward his working class supporters (he is purely transactional), I don't think that he has either the discipline or the allies in Congress to make much difference.
Tend to agree. I think he will definitely have the will, but Kinzinger-type wannabes is exactly the thing-- lack of allies in Congress is likely to sabotage.

Quote:

The only hopes I have for this election, if Trump wins are:

1) A pause on the march to normalizing the criminal prosecution of one's political opponents
So you remain one of the left (lower case ) side of the middle that genuinely continues to oppose the security state and weaponization of DOJ. Kudos. Have wondered where that element that was against the Patriot Act and similar trends had evaporated to (they turned out to be right).

Quote:

2) The Democrats perhaps being motivated to discard certain policy positions that are deeply unpopular and deeply insane (e.g., trans-ing children, de facto permanent residency for anyone who walks across the border, opposing the internal combustion engine).

Another kudos. Politically homeless is right --- you are clearly a genuine liberal back when it didn't translate to something completely off-rocker and with a harmful social agenda.

I think the best hope is that Trump somehow arrests the progress of the `Elysists' to give a more apt term for there is nothing elite or wise about them; and somehow we get back to a party that blends the best of both sides as sometimes have had and is neither the DNC or GOP we have had in the 21st C -- as they have been very subpar and division sowing. That was the America worth envisioning.
