I have no issue with admitting the jokes weren't funny. The crowd groaned when he told it, and he made a few comments during the set on how nobody was laughing at most of the jokes being shared on social media in his set. That doesn't mean he isn't typically a funny guy, or that he is racist.


That being said, the reporter not clearly stating it was a comedian telling jokes is laughable for someone wanting to be taken seriously for their journalistic integrity. Him saying "I'm just reporting the news, what's your problem?" Is literally the same response as the "it's just jokes!" crowd.

Rusty has been the pilot that has flown KBTX into the side of the mountain. When the HERITAGE, 800lb gorilla of media in this market can lose SIGNIFICANT market share with NO REAL COMPETITION you make a change.

Sad thing is, he could have done wonderful things here.

Having Tony Hichcliff at a political rally is just not a good idea. His whole thing is insult humor that pushes the limits. Extremely funny on the Tom Brady roast but bad idea here.

Grey. Right up their alley. They actually had a corporate policy well after any excuse for it to be in place that you must show proof of vaccine in order to enter their building. Certainly that affects what type of people they would allow to come in to be interviewed?

I have flown all over the island of Puerto Rico, from one end to the other about half a dozen times. Absolutely a paradise, a very dangerous place as far as crime but not a ****hole like Hatti. If not for the crime, would be a top retirement location.

I never saw their public trash dump; they must one and it is probably overfilled like all the islands but every few years a hurricane comes thru and magically the trash disappears.

I didn't think the guy was funny, but Trump likes to troll the left and it worked.

for those not in the know, Tony is an insult stand up comic who hosts a very popular open mic podcast out of Austin called "kill tony". It's a pretty big deal.

He was one of the better roasters on the Tom Brady special a while back.



It's his whole schtick, edgy, foul, and over the line.

Rather than posting and making judgements on one specific clip of a rather long comedy bit, take the time to listen to his whole act and then see if you're still indignant.

He is billed as a comedian and "professional roaster". His bit takes pot shots at pretty much everyone. That's what a roast is.

Singling this down to 20 seconds from a 12 minute act is doing what it was designed to do. Don't be so gullible.

And as for the idiot from KBTX, if you're reading this, your original tweet saying that "speakers" at Trump's rally were denigrating Puerto Rico without acknowledging it was one part of a full comedy set is NOT reporting. It's gaslighting. You should know that what you did there is known in legal circles as a "material ommision". You'd better go check a mirror. Your bias is showing.

At lunch, some ABC 13 beeyatch on the TV was saying almost the exact same things. Basically painting it as a racist hate rally
