Yes he is not actively for evil. It's not his platform to encourage it. Big difference.

I'm voting for him for a 3rd time!
Platform? -

He "performs" the act.

Satanist can espouse and profess non-Christian like doctrines. But, as long as they dont infringe their beliefs on the community at large. No harm via common law.

TRUMP = PERFORMS THE ACT!! Rape, Porn star indulgences, etc.!!

Because, from a Christian standpoint, your choices are Evil versus Evil.

Neither party can pass a Christianity test. One just so happens to align more with an Evangelical perspective on some things.

When that's all you got, you feel disincentivized.

You also don't have to vote for the republican platform if that is the argument. A political party does not dictate ones faith and these days both parties do things that do not follow Christ's teachings. To argue otherwise is putting politics before Christ.
But if you vote for the modern democrat platform, you are ACTIVELY supporting (gestures > words) evil. Also increasing violence and lawlessness in cities...so...bloodshed of innocent children of God.
Whether you want to perceive it as 'actively' for the dems, or tacitly for the R's (calls for military, deportation, violence....lets not kid ourselves), they're both bad.

I agree that as a Christian, one of the primary reasons I always vote Republican is because I am anti abortion and wanted to see R v W overturned. Now that its back at the state level, I can manage that in Texas with my vote. My federal vote is not going to impact that, especially since Trump said he wouldn't support a national ban. I also don't think the dems can put the genie back in the bottle now that its gone back to the states.

A thoughtful Christian will never find a candidate who supports his views 100%.

One must then look to see who gets the closest.

Murdering unborn children is the gravest sin supported by either candidate.

There are valid Christian reasons to not support either one. It just depends on what compromises you are willing to make based on your own judgement. There is a reason why Jesus didn't support a side other than God.

I was always taught that Christians should vote because it is the main way to influence what the government does. We have to accept all candidates are flawed humans.

No candidate will ever pass the purity test because Jesus Christ is not on the ballot.

Yes, there would be times to not vote in a particular race because both candidates are simply unacceptable. If the choice was between a Republican who just got arrested for messing with kids, and a Democrat, I would vote 3rd party or leave that race blank.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

OK, I'll say this again but just once more…it riles people up here so I don't want to repeat it much.

Many church attending Christian friends I know personally from my hometown are hung up on Trump's morality. Specifically with his alleged history of sexual harassment and long association with a notorious child trafficker. They don't believe he had no idea what he was doing and question why he had 14 different numbers for Trump in his black book.

And my counter is that anyone hung up on Trump's philandering, and no he was not that chummy with Epstein, needs to look into Kamala's history.

If they are not okay with Trump's adultery but okay with Kamala's, well that flat makes them a hypocrite.

I'm well on record that I detest Trump the man, but generally, his policies are a positive for this country and he actually still loves the country versus the Dems who seek to destroy it and replace it.

Thus, Trump it is.....with a clothes pin on my nose.

What does he push that is evil? Look at the list in my 1st paragraph at top of page...now tell me what Trump or republicans support that is evil or unChristian.

Yeah he's "kind of" pro choice to a further extent than I would like...but it pales in comparison to the left and he is certainly without a doubt the lesser of two evils.
And there it is....the lesser of two evils. And in some peoples opinion, they are both evil and may see some R policies as evil and/or un Christ like. I think R policies are the lesser, but I'm just saying that all of theses discussions that are basically saying "if you vote democrat, you cannot be Christian", is dangerous. By that logic, anyone who sins periodically or makes a wrong choice isn't a Christian.
Sinning periodically is something even the apostles did. We all do.

Actively supporting books like "Gender Queer" in grade schools (I don't know of a single lib who is against this...they wept and gnashed teeth when Desantis had it removed and compared him to Hitler) which shows graphic images of boys going down on each other and sodomizing each other (can't post the images here) is a whole new level of sin/evil thoughg.

It's like saying, "hey that guy who exposes himself to children ain't that bad...we all sin!". It's nonsensical.

I gave you a list of evil things the average everyday democrats support and encourage. Show me some comparable stuff the average republican supports. Good luck.

He was not found guilty in criminal court, only in a corrupt civil court big difference. They didn't prove he did anything criminal, only held him liable.

Look at the case closely and you'll see he was already found guilty by the judge before the damages were awarded. The whole case is a crock.

Quote:

False.
Trump was found, by a jury, liable for battery, a civil tort, based on the preponderance of evidence provided by E. Jean Carroll that he sexually abused her but not that he raped her.
He was not found "guilty" as the suit was a civil trial, which entails no criminal conviction.
If the evidence provided by Carroll was given to a criminal jury, it might have come to other conclusions. That it was not found at a civil trial (based on the preponderance of evidence) that he raped Carroll does not mean that a criminal trial would make the same conclusion, although the evidential standards would be higher.

United Church of Christ is a far left organization. Obama's church. Zero to do with Church of Christ. They could not be much more different.

And modern Church of Christ churches are pretty comparable to Baptist nowadays believe it or not. I think there are still some hardliner ones in rural America, but I wouldn't be surprised if attendance is dwindling as the non-blue haired crowds have found some slightly more "relaxed" churches.

They awarded Carroll US$5 million in damages.

More? More of what?

A lying individual was allowed to sue Trump based on a lie that she couldn't prove and had to have a law specifically made in order for her to even be able to sue him.

And you also lied about it.

I would have thought that Christians voted at a higher rate than the non-Christian population. Do we have evidence that this is not the case?

The vast majority of Christians I know hate what they see from the modern left and vote R.
