The black community has never been overly accepting of homosexuality. Tolerant as in "keep it to yourself" is about as far as most are willing to go.

Remember back in 2008 when Prop-8 passed in California? The only reason was because almost every black voter turned out to vote for Obama, and they also ended up voting for Prop-8.

It's because rates of homosexuality are higher in black communities than other races and the more straight men are exposed to that the more they become repulsed by it.

Democrats still believe that "demography is destiny" and that growing cohorts of non-white American voters means they'll never lose a national election again.

Problem is, as it turns out, non-whites on average aren't as progressive as whites. It's really white, college educated women who are the most progressive cohort, and the average male of any race or education (and particularly black and latino voters) are turned off by the centering of trans and gay issues like the D's have been doing.

If demography really is destiny, the long term outlook for the Democrat party is huge trouble if they keep at it with this nonsense.

We need to shame black and latino men to our side. White males that vote dem are a complete lost cause. I mean, just look at the ones that goaltend on this board.

It's not just black men. No one wants LGBT nonsense shoved down their throats. Only few are able to actually speak out bc like everything else these days you get labeled an extremist for speaking common sense.

If the LGBT community was smart they would pivot away from the kids and compelled speech. They will never win those battles, and it will only marginalize them and any normal grievances they may actually have.

I am the same way myself and I am not black. I don't care if someone id LGBTAKJHJH but keep it to themselves. Don't spray it everywhere like the workplace.
