The controversial Trump biopic which portrays the young Donald Trump as a rapist is set to gross around $1.5 million on its opening weekend. That's an embarrassingly low figure given the movie received a wide release on 1,740 screens, for a per-screen average of about $862.

Since most screens feature multiple showings a day, that means from late Thursday to Sunday, there was an average of around five people per showing in other words, mostly empty theaters.

The expected weekend gross of $1.5 million is even less than pre-release forecasts predicting movie would gross around $3 million.

The people who love him won't go see it and that's half the country and the people who hate him are so tied up with TDS they can't even stand to see or hear him on the screen so although it's not actually him they don't want to be subjected to 90 minutes of it.

Because we know what kind of movie it will be. It will just be making fun of him the whole time and ignoring his 40 years of business experience. some kids in their teens and 20s don't even realize he had a life before that show. Hell, they're even too young to remember the show. They're just parroting what they're being told.

I don't have a problem with biopics but we all know this is just another hatchet job. Plus they're pushing the bull**** rapist ***** They have plenty of material to do on Bill Clinton and plenty of other people but of course they don't touch that. Well actually I think there was something last year on that but not much. Democrats liberals and Hollywood live in a fantasy land regarding Trump. Everything they accuse him of doing the Democrats are actually doing.

I like Trump, but I have no desire to see this.

Of course I'm not a fan of watching his rallies either but to each their own.

Because anytime they can do something that will lie about Trump, outwardly push hate on Trump. They get excited. This man literally broke them.

Friday through Sunday, 4 showing per day with a $15 ticket price is an average of 4.8 viewers per showing.

Why pay to see another Trump hit job when you can turn on the tv anytime of the day or night and have your choice of six tv channels doing another Trump hit job for free.

"The lawyer legal people convicted him of like 900 really bad things and he has to pay like a million-billion dollars or something.. and Liz Chaney hates him!"

I think these numbers show that there are not as many on the other side as they need you to believe.

That is still a pretty wide opening for a very niche film. And how those distribution are usually structured, some people took a financial blood bath on their pet project.

They waited too long on the release, IMO.

Good point. But I actually think this was one hand not knowing what the other hand was doing. Against Biden? As they expected during post production and the aforementioned distribution deals.

When Biden was dumped, changed the timeline and for the Dems, substituted one imp firsaired candidae for another impaired candidate, although not for the same reason.

Had this been an abortion first and foremost election, without the foreign policy issues and an economy that stinks, painting Trump as a wife abuser to Ivana, might have resonated more, given the E. Jean Carroll farce.
