Our government is out of control with spending. IF there is anyway Trump can cancel all the relief bills Biden passed I hope he does. Even if half the money has already been spent, finish anything started and cancel out the rest

The infrastructure bill needs to be examined by a thin tooth comb, and all the plans for it need to be scrapped. Let Elon and other successful people come in and get every penny worth from that bill. 8 billion for 6 charging stations is not going to cut it.

Use the damn thing for stuff that will help us, nuclear plants, smart energy investment. Roads, bridges, ports, airports, electric grid, cleaning rivers, building and rebuilding damns, drainage/sewage, water transportation (piping etc.), which is a big deal, supposedly we have so many leaking water pipes and facilities it equates to a ridiculous percentage of water reserve wasted. Sorry for the rant, but all the money we have spent and non of the above has gotten done at all, it is a Fing crime. We should be Fing Atlantis in every big city for the trillions we have spent in 4 years and I am not exaggerating. Instead we have efforts to cut kids di**s and boobs off, dudes in dressing at the white house with cocaine everywhere. 6 charging stations for 8 billion dollars and no internet

I have seen more crews laying fiber optic cable in the last 3-4 mos than ever. I dunno if it has anything to do with this but I feel like it likely does.

How do you expect them to make progress without any money.? I mean ….they only had $42b available to start with. Agree with other posters that say this money has probably been spent/stolen and they'll try to come back for more.

I was told by a TxDOT representative at a luncheon that internet service was transportation rather than communication. So maybe the FCC director is just looking in the wrong department.

silly rabbit the 42 billion was to start the conversation. when they actually pick up a shovel they will pass a 100 billion to complete it. but they won't complete it even with more money. just another example in the long ass list of scams our own govt runs ags inter the american people.

I am no type of Biden apologist, but I keep seeing this headline and don't see how its true.

My little corner of the county had fiberoptic cable installed earlier this year, and we have high speed internet for the first time that is not satellite or cell based. It makes me feel a little dirty, so I checked the county website. Sure enough, in very clear language, it states that the installation was funded by the infrastructure bill.
