No. Many of those dudes endured the Great Depression like the family you see below. Even outside of that, you had to be tough in general. Life wasn't easy. Those were hardcore dudes.

The votes are too distributed for Red to do the same thing.

That's the trick that Blue learned last cycle. They don't have to take the risk of cheating everywhere to win. There are 5-6 key counties that matter. Actually...they probably LEARNED that during the Florida hanging chad debacle, but they had to get the plan in place to implement.

I have said that repeatedly for a long while and I only become more convinced of it over time. If someone wants to prove me wrong then go for it, I don't believe it, and it's why I get so exhausted by all the civil war threads and constant "this is why we have the 2nd amendment!" talk and use of phrases like "watering the tree of liberty". It's a bunch of mostly old dudes sitting in their recliners watching Netflix. No one is going to do anything by force and for the handful of rare exceptions they'd end up like Waco anyway.

I'm in agreement with you about civil war. It's ridiculous talk. All of the secession talk, tree of liberty, etc. It's not going to happen because the fact is that things are pretty damn great. Things aren't bad. We like to think they are but they aren't. We've made huge strides and regardless of all the basement dwellers sentiments, if Harris is elected…..the country……WILL NOT FAIL or fall into some 2 year declines.

It all tied back to the "greatest generation". It's a misnomer. Those guys weren't great. They weren't any greater than anyone else today, it's just that they were thrust into surviving. If you want to recreate that today, just start a world war, then reenact the draft and force all of your husbands, sons, brothers, and dads into the service to go fight for some crap they don't give two damns about but have no other option, then bring the survivors home. Wait a couple of decades for the situation to mellow…..and boom….another "greatest generation".

We have the same people today. Humans don't change. They don't. We will kill if conscripted. If you kidnap my child and I have the means, I will kill every innocent man woman and child around if that's what it takes to save my own. Everyone will. It's just how we're built.we are survivors and havnt been around for 40,000 years because "we aren't tough". We have lived in an easy country and have a layer of veneer that we think people are weak and won't do horrible things but…it's just that…a shallow veneer. Take away laws and force difficulty and that veneer of peace and ease will vaporize.

Don't get caught up in "the greatest generation" and "people aren't like that today". They are. They just havnt been tested.

Having to pay 16 dollars for your Whataburger instead of 10 a couple of years ago is not hardship. We havnt seen hardship on a large scale in nearly a century.

If not, they don't wanna win.

We're a nation that hasn't experienced any real hardship in generations. No famine, military oppression, foreign invasion, etc in our lifetimes. We're fat, happy and distracted 24/7. These are not the conditions needed for an uprising of any sort, much less one against the most powerful government the world has ever seen.

My honest opinion is democracy cannot work for a generation who never had to fight or sacrifice for its freedoms.

I don't believe a nation can "teach" the value of freedom to those who have never known anything but freedom.


More than half of Americans today desire to just give that freedom away to a corrupt government

Only way to stop it is for Trump to win and pass common sense voting integrity policy that each state must follow.

That's why this election is so important
