Turning her boyfriend into someone who wears crap like this is more boycott worthy…hah!

Two things:
1. I admit to owning that same hat.
2. All her songs are about making the wrong choices... which is a good thing, right?

My two daughters (12 and 17) said they are done with her. "Solid choice," I says.

No they're not

Actually, they are done. Confirmed that they quit listening after they heard her latest album. Her latest move didnt sit well with them at all.

Here's an example of how the sheep on the left operate.

Here's the lyrics to one of her big hits.

Note the highlighted text

She gets support from the LGBQT whatever group and she used the term gay as a derogatory trope to insult her ex boyfriend/producer Nathan Chapman who she wrote the song about. That's homophobia by their own definition and she got a pass because she toes the line.
#1 She acknowledge the mistake and they changed the lyric almost immediately after the song came out. Which you failed to mention was 18 years ago.

#2 Also considering that this song never got higher than #28 in the US according to Wikipedia, I wouldn't really classify it as one of her "big hits" considering that she's had 12 #1 songs since then.

#3 The song is not about Nathan Chapman. It's about a guy she dated in high school. Since Nathan Chapman graduated from high school in 2000 and Taylor Swift was 11 years old then, it seems unlikely they were dating.

So basically, everything you said is incorrect.

Trust me. Globally... she does not care. That's like .2% of her listener base and those little sensitive souls will come back.

I don't look to stars of any sort for political advice. I expect artists to be liberal and open minded by definition. They are our flakes. They push the envelope. As a conservative, I would off myself if I had to listen to "Proud to be an American" all day. This isn't Nazi Germany. Let them flakes be flaky.

Honestly have never liked her. Got lucky and married an awesome woman who doesn't like her and neither do my two daughters. Raised them on Merle and George Jones so they have great taste in music.

Though, the older one is starting to listen to Morgan Wallen a lot which is kind of concerning…lol jk
I have a 65 year old brother-in-law who has come to love her, because politics, he's such a leftist media dork.
it's funny. a grown, older man.

Has he/she come out of the closet yet?

I don't mind them being open minded. But putting themselves in a box to endorse a particular political candidate like it's life or death is anything but open minded.

Many of these musicians write songs about questioning authority, but then gladly bow to authority because it's the groupthink thing to do in their industry.

I have a lot more respect for the artists who don't endorse any candidates...and focus on music that makes their fans feel something about life...not on being a commercial for someone elses narrow ideas. The ones that have a pulse of their fans and realize they aren't there to hear them endorse a candidate.

It's to the point where IMO you can tell an artist doesn't lean left (or at least not much) when they don't preach about a particular political view (usually the ones with a long career at this stage in life). They have more of a self-reflecting view of life, society, and connecting with their fans. Even though Nashville is a lot more liberal than it used it be, you tend to see this the most from country music artists. There are a few very outspoken ones on the right like John Rich, and a few more on the left than there used to be...but most of them don't preach about political issues and that's how I can tell they're in the middle or slightly right of center.

I couldn't care less about TS but my I know folks who have gone to the concert and believe its the best show they've seen. They aren't "Swifities" either, just music fans who have seen a lot of shows.

Like I have stated again and again, a fool and his money are soon parted and if people want to give hundreds of dollars to a billionaire just to see her prance on stage, that is their problem.
