Social media is reporting a illegal gang has taken over a apartment complex. I know how social media can be inaccurate so I was wondering if anyone has first hand knowledge of the situation?

At some point it will be real news. When government won't protect their citizens that's when you see private citizens step up and they will do a MUCH more effective job of quelling the threat.

Governor denies it. So these gangs may really just be sort of an idea.

Do it in a blue jurisdiction and they'll do everything they can to prosecute and jail you, especially if the "victim" is a protected class. We have a society that values protecting criminals more than innocents.

Hells Angels, Banditos andthe other motocycle gangs may just turn out to our canaries in the coal mine.

Today's Angels and Banditos are not the same as I was familiar with in the 60s-90s.

(Wurstfest, 1977 was my first unintentional encounter with the Banddtos. My date ran away. Second time I was in contact with some chopper gang, in Golden, NM, my boyfriend also ran away. Don't have to be concerned with that now. The Hubs would roar like a lion and jump on anybody threatening me, like a grizzly on a salmon.)
