I quite clearly said it's a cultural and not a racial problem

Ok. You aren't the only person posting in this thread.

Then when making an accusation like that maybe call out specific posts and posters you take issue with.

When did this turn into a "black people" thing? Yall really think there aren't white people stupid enough to try this? I've generally thought the complaints about F16 being racist are unfounded but in this case it's accurate.

Have you seen the videos of the people lined up?

That's fair. I apologize for what felt like an attack.

Weak. Now you're letting someone else set your agenda which is pretty much the definition of a NPC.

The video with the guys dancing and exchanging debit cards with their mouth is clearly a spoof. I also saw somewhere that the line for the chase ATM is common.

Is there some reason you think that black people don't commit overwhelming numbers of crimes?

Where did I say anything about crime in general? I said assuming it's only black people here is overtly racist. It's a scam promising free money, surely you agree all kinds of people are going to sign up for that.

Agreed likely a spoof. Many places both credit card companies and banks give credit for deposits immediately as a perk instead of waiting for the payment to clear. If things go south, like bounced check, the customer is usually hit with an inconvenience fee.
Trump will fix it.

Just like violent crime, this idiocy will skew higher with blacks. Now whether that is racial or cultural does not matter. Race is an excellent proxy for culture.

As a population they are a lost cause.

I agree 100%. The era or prosecuting blacks for these crimes is over. Not a single person will ever go to jail for this and they will all get away with it.

Upon further reflection, I agree as well. Chase will simply write this off rather than get into a PR battle with the left where someone tries to justify this as reparations for some last misdeed by Chase.
The massive amounts are likely photoshop. If you transferred the money to another account, Chase will likely be able to get it back in most situations, just reverse the transfers. Unlikely that someone was able to withdrawl $600k at an ATM.

Accountability time. The fuzz has been alerted. Banks don't mess around with this.

Quote:

JPMorgan Chase is investigating thousands of incidents of possible check fraud committed as part of a TikTok craze and plans to share the evidence it gathers with police departments around the country.

Users on the social-media platform began sharing videos that showed a so-called glitch at Chase Bank that was allowing customers to deposit big checks and withdraw funds from ATMs immediately, even if sufficient funds weren't available.

Chase, the largest consumer bank in the U.S., normally allows customers to withdraw a portion of deposited checks before the full check amount clears. However, late last week, a technical error allowed customers to withdraw all of the funds from a check before it had cleared.

Trump will fix it.

People don't care if it goes negative... they don't understand the consequences.

My wife worked in ato / fraud. You'd be surprised what people try to get away with, fall for, and then just don't care about when you call them out on their BS.

Got way worse after covid and all the electronic payment stuff.
