Section 230 of the Communications Act of 1934 protects Meta and other platforms from being held liable for what people say on their websites/platforms. With that said, Meta, et al cannot determine what is and is not truthful information worth being shared, as this makes them a publisher, not merely a host site. If they are publishers and not merely hosts? They lose their protection from lawsuits over things said on their platforms.

I think you just identified a bot poster.

It's posting style is to just foment a reaction on here, whether it is to buy new Nike Jordans or to donate money to a political party.

I've already been very weirded out by certain posters and their wording/syntax coupled with their posting style, but after reading the "Dead Internet Theory" thread...yup, some random poster saying F16 was "praising" Zuck as some sort of reincarnation of Ric Flair/Ronald Reagan/John Wayne/Thomas Jefferson...totally not a sentient being.

There were several praising him when he came out with the flag flying on the wakeboard/surfboard. That is what I was referring to.
