Apparently, Walz's son has some learning disabilities. Imagine how Walz treats his son behind closed doors if he is doing this in public. What a complete turd and psychopath.

I dunno. The kid probably has access to tampons.

I don't care for Walz and don't buy his false "mind your own damn business" line.

This isn't the thing to attack him on.

My son is autistic. I've had to be physically firm with him when he was younger. These days I am verbally firm with him in a way that gets judgements from people. All of which is far milder than my father was with me (far below the abusive line) and much much milder than his father was to him (well above the abusive line).

There are also times when it may seem I am letting my son getting away with too much and I am too soft. That's because I know my son, his capabilities, his history, and how he best responds. Snapshots of either extreme are just that - a little peek and not the whole picture.

Point being, if this is all the evidence you have in your case, you aren't changing any minds and only looking petty.

You are spot on. I truly dislike Walz but if he's gonna trot his family out there he can't leave the autistic kid behind. And sometimes you have to be directive, especially with a boy that big.

I agree with both points, but now imagine that was Trump yanking his special needs kid like that and tell me it wouldn't be front and center on all the msm from now through the election. All is fair in love and war.

This attack on Walz is 1000x better than what we saw yesterday from many in the Twitterverse who were openly mocking Gus. That, had it caught on, would have been disastrous. This, at the very least, is an attack on Governor Walz himself. Although I'd hope that Trump/Vance themselves would steer free of it and let Twitter or their surrogates handle it.

I agree with your assessment though. A three second clip of him getting cross with his kid isn't going to be the huge "gotcha" people want it to be. Might be embarrassing for a day or two, if that. But that's probably about it.

You do have to wonder if the look on Walz's face was more of a true picture of him.

100% and Walz deserves his every move to be scrutinized under a microscope.

If he was misbehaving, sure. Be firm. The challenged kid wasn't in lock step with his asswhole dad, so his dad jerked him around LIKE A DOG.

You cannot tell me that this is normal parental behavior for a kid that is challenged. Again, look at what he did wrong! Nothing! I think that kid is physically and emotionally abused.

Hyperbole much? It isn't a good sign when the best thing you can find to attack someone on is that you think he pulled his kid too hard by the arm. Maybe go after real things like policy, past statements/positions…you know, real things that matter.

Walz seems like a miserable old guy putting on a fake smile. There's also the clip of him looking like he's nearly in tears as he's sitting down next to Kamala who won't even look at him.

People can lap up the speeches all they want…but everyone on that stage hates each other. The Clintons, Obamas, Bidens, Waltz's…they all despise each other. They only fake it for the cameras because their team needs to win.

They're all hopeless, miserable, people that need the spotlight and lifestyle to feel good about themselves.

All their talk about "hope" and "joy" is fake.

From a three second clip you've determined the kid is physically and emotionally abused? That's a wee bit of stretch.

The GOP and the Trump campaign needs to be very careful here. This is the sort of thing that Republicans tend to salivate over that often ends up either being a nothing burger or coming back to bite them in the ass. This is literally a three second clip of a dad giving a son a stern look and pulling on his arm. We can conflate this to "abuse" or "treating him like a dog" but let's face it, people here are looking at this through a certain kind of lens. How does the average American see this clip?

If they just see it as a dad getting stern with his son and nothing more and the GOP starts screaming "child abuse" it could backfire. So, tread lightly.

None of the things you just mentioned matter to any liberal democrat. They on care about "joy" and they would have roasted Trump if he did this. Stop with the pretend you care about policy.

F Tim Walz or the feelings of some CM's on here...they would verbally MURRRRDER Trump over something like this. We need to stop always taking the limp wristed high road. Tear him apart every chance you get. Highlight his weird mannerisms, fruity behaviors, horrible policy stances, all of it.

Hit them with a barrage of 100 punches and they will focus the public's attention on the weak ones and never have to address the strong points.

Better to have 3 strong punches than dozens of baby jabs that won't change any undecideds.

Agree a thousand percent. Until you have or work with the special needs individuals, like Walz's son is, you have no clue what it's like raising, living, loving, and helping them go through life.

It's easy, petty, and just juvenile AF to sneer, attack, whatever, but until you walk a mile in those shoes, people really need to STFU about it. Imagine if that was your kid.
There are in fact two things, science and opinion; the former begets knowledge, the later ignorance. Hippocrates
