Back on topic….
Biden has destroyed the economy, the world is at war, and he has been replaced by his doing with a DEI.
Dude has done nothing positive.
Money for Veterans with disabilities caused by toxic exposure
Further extended and expanded the Veteran's Choice act that Obama initiated in 2014 and which Trump claimed as his own when Congress extended and expanded it in 2019.
Chips Act, bringing manufacturing of chips back to the States and reducing dependence on foreign suppliers
Infrastructure Bill that Trump wanted done when he was President then railed against when Biden got it done
Salary increases are outpacing inflation
Those are things that deserve an attaboy regardless of partisan preference. Plenty of Republican politicians have since been tooting their horn for infrastructure projects that benefit their constituents… even though they voted against the infrastructure bill.
Other actions that some here are obviously either totally or at least partially against include additional funding for the IRS over a 10 year period to update obsolete equipment and replace and somewhat replenish an aging workforce where about half of an already depleted workforce is expected to retire within the next five years. Obviously unpopular with people who hate paying taxes (and who actually enjoys doing so?) but needed to improve customer service. A small portion of new hiring, not remotely the numbers claimed by some, would be for agents to help unmask tax fraud and avoidance.
And then there's the parts that many here simply don't believe. Or at least, prefer to ignore. Our reputation as the leading nation in the world has been restored. The U.S. economy is the strongest in the world, having recovered from the COVID collapse faster and better than any other major nation. Inflation soared in Biden's first year but would have done the same in 2021 under Trump if he'd been re-elected, and the rate dropped faster and further than in other countries. Biden's GDP and unemployment numbers have been at least as good as they were in Trump's pre-COVID years where he bragged about having the greatest economy in history (which wasn't true). There are more manufacturing jobs now than the highest level under Trump. The predicted recession following the Pandemic never happened. Hiring for new jobs has been continually greater than expected until this month, meaning maybe the Fed will finally back off a bit. And despite Biden supposedly being so against oil and gas, the industry has had record profits under him and we've been producing more oil the past year than in 2019, its highest level under Trump. In addition, while many here hate the support for green energy, it's not entirely about reducing green house gases. Oil IS a finite resource. The fact that oil from shale has gained such prominence should help point that out. We're producing that only because the volume of more easily produced (and far less expensive to produce) oil has been reduced to the point there wouldn't be enough to meet our needs. New energy technologies have to be developed and their flaws discovered and fixed before oil production begins to fall to the point where post pandemic gas prices would seem like pocket change. Sure, that isn't't going to happen in the next ten years and maybe not the next 20, but it is going to begin happening not too long after that. Focusing only on the here and now and ignoring future conditions and needs is a sure way to reduce our Nation's greatness and stature going forward.
By the way, if you want to complain about immigration, and to be sure, it has been out of control since the Pandemic, remember that Biden did belatedly get on board with the border Bill that Republicans shot down. Not because it wouldn't help, but because it would have, thus blunting Trump's biggest campaign points. You might also want to check official immigration stats because while there was a definite, prolonged surge, not nearly as many illegals have entered and stayed in the country as the campaign bluster would have you believe. Fewer of them commit crimes than do native born Americans, and the tax dollars spent on them are for programs also in place under Trump, and for several Presidents before him.
