Everyone that can fog a mirror and is not intellectually compromised by the left could see Biden was deteriorating in front of our eyes. Most also who even remotely follow politics and saw the initial DNC debates also saw Kamala get gutted like a fish by Tulsi, garner less than 1% of the vote, and bow out.

If the Trump team didn't plan for the obvious choice in Cackles over these last few years, they deserve to lose.

We're seeing a dead-cat-bounce in the polls and renewed optimism by the dims. That will end soon when she doesn't have a teleprompter in front of her and has to ad lib. We've all seen the clips. She's unlikeable. Tethered to the Biden presidency, and most importantly a failed immigration policy, and she's just generally a bad politician. The polls will level back out to what they were with Trump/Biden and I'm not convinced they punt on her as well when this happens.

There's no doubt Trump has his hard core supporters.

I would not confuse that with winning an election though. It's not like the more hard core amd excitable a voter is, the more their vote counts

Unless Trump miraculously learns to shut up and stop shooting himself in the foot, OP's theory will hold true on the evening of November 5th. Dropping Vance and hiding in a basement until the election would be great starts. Hiding in a basement worked for Biden in 2020.

You're thinking of two extremes and their more centrist voters. The goal needs to be focusing on the true centrist voters, and Trump continuing to step on his own foot evens the playing field.
