Gotta love these meaningless polls where they oversample the population that would vote for Kamala and then spread propaganda about how much better she is than Trump.
The fact that it's only a dead heat with Harris receiving the overwhelmingly positive coverage right now says a lot about the fatigue with the incumbent administration. This time around, it's the Democrats who have to defend the policies instead of simply being the challenger that lobs all the criticism.Rapier108 said:

Nothing is a guarantee, but Obama had a solid lead in most polls leading up to his re-election.
Unfortunately I think we get stuck with Kamala. White suburban women will feel shame if they don't vote for a female POC and their soy boy husbands will follow suit. Kamala doesn't have to speak to the media or do a debate. Just sit back and watch Trump talk himself into more negatives. It's a travesty for the country but most likely outcome.

1. They know the media is an active and willing participant to keep Trump out of the white house. The media will promote kamala, will protect kamala, will actively harm Trump and vance and will do any bidding the dems want.
They won't ask kamala tough questions about her weaknesses.
2. Knowing this, the dems can hide kamala and keep her on a relatively easy diet of private engagements and teleprompter speeches. She literally giving the same speech ever night
3. By having harris hide and letting the media do all the work, Trump is essentially forced to take action and he cannot resist tearing down kamala the person. And that's off putting for a lot a people. The dems are giving trump the rope to hang himself with and the Republicans are obliging.
Now, I think we've got thr harris honeymoon all the way through the Democratic Convention. But, there's no way the dems can hide kamala all the way until the election. Their goal is to probably hide her long enough to make it unrecoverable for Trump.
