Every time that a woman and a man, especially in the dangerous professions (law enforcement, military), are trained, different standards are used for the evaluation and training of women with the standards lowered significantly.

How many of the women are even interested in any of those things, let alone capable?

The few women I have encountered in similar jobs seem to find the idea of the job exciting but not all that interesting. They don't like shooting guns for example. They see them as neat accessories.

Some of the men are like that but not many.

Anyone in charge of planning and decision making in regards to the security for the event should have resigned or been fired by now...It was the biggest fugg up ever and what happened was so easily preventable. A person lost their life because of their screw up...

Dear DHS, it's the incompetence that is unacceptable and the gender of those who are incompetent is irrelevant to us.

Aliso, tell the USSS to try considering the size and height of its agents relative to those being protected in the future. Again, regardless of gender, the agents shouldn't be far smaller or shorter than the protected.

I'd also like to know who the agent in-charge of planning security for the event was. Was it a female and that is why the strong rebuttal????

Every time a women enters a field that requires the use of physical force, the physical standards are lowered. They are given "extra" chances to demonstrate the minimum weapons proficiency.

Then they promote. They water down and pussify the rules of engagement and make being proactive and aggressive a problem.

I am a former local and federal Leo. I guarded the US Ambassador to Iraq for 2 years.

There shouldn't be a single female anywhere near a badge and gun. Ever.

They have ruined law enforcement's effectiveness in less than two generations.

I respectfully disagree. I am sure there are some women in law enforcement who are quite capable and qualified. Law enforcement is not special operations. If we were talking SEALS, Delta, Green Berets, Marines, etc. then I totally agree with you.

But just blanket statement no woman in any law enforcement positions where they need to carry guns, I disagree.

Honestly, I agree, too.

There are certainly thousands of women who perform first-line service in law enforcement -- many have given their lives. We as a society are very lucky to have them; they have demonstrated the courage and ability to hold their own in practically all areas of traditional law enforcement. But the fact is going to have to be admitted and conformed to that natural physical constraints must tend to preclude women's participation in A FEW areas. This is not sexism, it is acceptance of universal fact. For God's sake, let this crucial question not continue to be politicized and fought out in the sometimes circular make-believe of DEI. Indulging in that practice just cost one man's life and came within an ear of costing another's. Those losing their sanity over this unalterable truth are going to HAVE to realize there are realities that any amount of wistful determination cannot undo.

The recon team is at fault, regardless of their gender make up, but after the fact, we saw many of the women were very inept, confused in their actions, couldn't even manage their guns, jumping around all over the place nervously, which is understandable, but there was a lack of control there.

And even the woman who is trying desperately with the group to get him off the stage was too small to be guarding President Trump. She just wasn't capable of it.

These things are not mutually exclusive.

Agree. Her inadequacies were physical, which is mainly the point. But I give her full marks for courage -- she was shielding him the best she could, and was ready to take a bullet. Nobody is saying women don't have the guts.
