The whole "we aren't trained as counter snipers" is ridiculous.

You could have plopped the retired police chief from Beaver Falls on that roof in a lawn chain and problem solved.

That kid wasn't going to go up there and get in a gun fight. He looked for an obvious weakness and found it. And it happened to be the best place to take a shot from.
That's what gets me man.

The stars align and this kid goes full Leroy Jenkins.

Somehow managed to get off an uncontested perfect shot on Trump and then seven more shots.

The factual timeline is such that he scrambles on the roof at the exact moment the two guys in position to see him inexplicably abandon their post. There's simply no arguing around that fact.

The two overwatch people downstairs while the shooter circles around upstairs. Some real Tom & Jerry **** right there.

Just a mannequin with head on a swivel, dressed in uniform sitting in a chair with a rubber ducky. Just like they put empty police cars along the freewaysto get people to slow down.

Interesting new information about the shooter. Looks like he had a Gab account that was not scrubbed.

Help an Ol' Dame out here. Wray said today that the "gamer account" associated with Crooks was a fake account created after July 13th. This is a separate platform that existed before July 13?

Gab is not a gamer website, it's like Twitter.

I think the gamer account was on the Steam platform.

Don't know, but American leadership has in no way disavowed Iran, nor have they used the harsh language that they use towards Israel and Netanyahu. Crazy, huh?

It almost doesn't matter from that range imo. Looks like there is a scope on there, so if it was even decently sighted in, it would not be hard to land a head shot from 130-140 yds. Heard so many rumors of iron sights, which does not appear to be the case, from that picture.

I am unclear if the new Acting Director was on the Trump/Butler, PA team? He might not have been in the loop on that one if he had been on the NATO meeting team.

Dan Bongino knows him and said he is worse than Cheatle. And he has heavily implied that this guy is the one who repeatedly denied requests for enhanced security for Trump.

So why are they not just going to the source and asking the SAC to testify? Would put to bed all of these "I don't have that information" answers.

It appears to be this type of optics that has been widely mislabeled as a scope by many. Scopes generally have some level of magnification level. These types of optics do not

Red dot. Can be accurate if sighted in correctly. No magnification but the bullet hits where the dot is. Similar to iron sights in that no magnification unless one is equipped, but it's easier to see the little glowing dot than lining up the iron sights.
Trump will fix it.

Trump dodged with head turn imo. To me that is obvious. Otherwise it would have been a kill shot and I don't even like to imagine what this nation is like right now.

Just as a point on how capable a shooter can be with a simple dot. Aaron Hayes who owns Hayes Customs, can rapidly shoot a 24" steel plate at 600 yards with just a dot, no magnification .

Now he is a professional shooter and the kid was not, but it's possible for trained people to do a lot with simple gear.

To me it looks like the mag is on the bottom and scope on top...either that, or red dot, with magnifier (like I have).

It doesn't look like a small standard red dot optic alone to me...that being said, it's not the best image, and at 43, my eyes are just starting to degrade a bit.

Shooter was a regular at a gun range / club, I think that's more practice than 99% of Americans. Shooter was on target and Trump's head turn prevented death. Shooter had more than enough talent to kill at that range and even further.

Geez do you know how many variations of red dot optics there are?

Here's another still no magnification

Pat Fallon recreated the possibility of the shot using his own AR and a red dot at 130 yds prone on a slight pitch and hit 9 of 10 and his one miss would have hit the ear.

I'll admit right up front that I am a number of pages behind; but has anyone addressed the issue of Wray saying they don't know if Trump was actually hit by a bullet? WTH?

It hasn't been addressed because it's nonsense he didn't even say. The Daily Mail tried to start the narrative and the lazy MSM just quoted them.
